Hi, Just my take on this phone.
Had it for 2 weeks now. Batt life is ok about 4 days of standby with 15-25mins of phone use. On a good day GPS link is up in 1min. For the friendly dude asking about if the speak is loud ...Yes it is... and it is louder then my Dad's 6233 which is also loud.
I would play my mp3 via speakers as it is loud and clear for it's size. And yes agree with the other dude that the OS is fast and lag free.

the lights on the key pad go on and off according to the lights around you. it has a sensor that will turn them on and off.
BTW does anyone know how to load maps of other countries on this phone using the nokia map manager?

Best would be Nokia N95.It has 2.6 inch monitor and has a better menu in GPs funcksion. It is much easier to use in N95.Moreover it has 5 megapixel camera :)

i think a fair price from these auction sites would be £250 including postage and packaging.
Then in a couple of weeks time i expect the price to come down to around £210.

If you are getting your phone from ebay, make sure you don’t pay more than about £230-ish for it.
Because after all, you can buy it brand new from the high street for another £50 or so.

@Rim
No I was not refereing to the regular T9.
6230i had the regular t9 and in addition to that the more advanced word suggestion method I mentioned earlier.
The regular T9 would let you select-by pressing *key-all possible wordfs for a given keystroke combination.
The word suggestion method method goes 1 step further. For example if you type the letters "cir" a complete word starting with that appears(like auto complete in certain computer prgrams)-for eg. circumstances. you can toggle between all possible words starting with letters "cir" by pressing *key repeatedly. (for eg. circumspect, circumcise, circumvent etc)
The main advantage being that you can type a long word by pressing only about 3 to 5 key strokes.
Any idea anyone, whether this feature is available?
though 6233 is supposed to be the successor to 6230i- that feature is not available in the never model, (6233)

I have a tech question. At work I am not allowed to take cameras of any sort, however if the camera has been permanently disabled it is ok to take a camera type phone. Can anyone tell me if this is possible without destroying the phone?
Thanks.

Hi I am now convinced to buy a 6110 and your reviews seem very positive especially in regard to the sat nav options however a primary reason to buy a new phone is to access outlook from my laptop (without resorting to a bulky PDA) contacts and tasks and calander are a miimum can u please help me with understanding this better? Will the 6110 do it, and how easily. If you can access Outlook Contacts how would it deal with multi address books within Outlook
Regards and Thanks

Zack, why don't you read what others have written before asking the same old questions. Don't be so damn lazy.
