I just have 2 very quick questions that I'm sure a lot of people are wondering about:

1. Does the 6110 have A2DP and AVRCP profiles for Bluetooth (to be able to use Bluetooth stereo headsets)?

2. Do you need to be connected to the internet (paying a data usage charge) every time you use the GPS?

Thanks.

Is this phone has the "Word Suggestion" predictive text mode which was available on 6230i, where when typing a word, after the first few letters are typed the phone guesses the rest and completes the word? Please advice.
Is this feature available only on S40 phones or can it be activated on S60 phones like the 6110 Navigator?

      Some FAQs answered...

      (1) Yes, the 6110 Navigator has A2DP and AVRCP. I have mine synced with my Bluetooth stereo headphones, and it works beautifully - crystal clear digital stereo audio.

      (2) The 6110 Navigator has both car and pedestrian modes. You can use it as a car GPS, and it provides voice turn-by-turn instructions through its, very loud and clear built-in speakers. You can also get directions as you walk around on foot, although its routing is not as good in pedestrian mode as in car mode (it can often tell you to walk a looong way when there's a perfectly viable short cut on foot).

      (3) GPS use is free and unlimited. Unlike the N95, which uses Nokia Smart2Go system (which charges for usage), the 6110 Navigator uses Route66 GPS software which has unlimited free usage and free regional maps included on the memory card included with the phone. It only costs money to buy additional/updated/more detailed maps from Route66, e.g. if you're travelling overseas and want to use the GPS feature in your phone.

I really like my 6110 Navigator I've been using mobile phones for over 10 years, and I've used 9 different premium mobile handsets and smartphones from 4 different major manufacturers. This one is definitely the best I've used recently, and it's currently free in Australia on an Optus contract... I'd unreservedly recommend it.

The Nokia 6110 Navigator, unlike the N95, uses Route 66 navigation software. this means that the voice directions are free, not charged via gprs, also the sales package comes with a memory card that has your reigons maps unlocked. There is also a DVD with international maps that can be unlocked by purchasing licences online.
You can also download free applications from nokia that use the GPS such a sports diary that tracks your position and numerous other useful things.

I have had a 6110 in Australia on Optus now for 1.5wks. Think I got one of the 1st out. GPS is free & the voice is part of the application & free. You can download various options for languages even from the Nokia software that comes with the phone. Also the phone syncs to Outlook/Notes with the included software - a feature I was looking for. Nokia Asia Pacific helpdesk (from their website) was most helpful in answering questions I put to them

I live in North American - Canada. I am wondering how much is the Canada/ N. American maps going to cost me? Also how to buy it if they don't have the DVD provide? is it going to be very expensive to d/l maps from cell phone since Rogers charge a lot just to view e-mail. Can some ppl have 6110 give me an answer, the best would be N.American user.

I am thinking of getting this phone on an optus $49 plan. DOes it cost any extra on the plan to use the GPS or is it seperate. Does the voice on the GPS come with the phone or do you have to pay for download from nokia. The sales person could not tell me. Any other better plans out there than optus

I was reading the vodafone monthly magazine and it says the pay as you go version is £300.

But if you look on ebay some sellers are selling in excess of that amount.

My thoughts are that you get the 6110 from vodafone.

I think the map for Malaysia is not updated. Most of the time i find myself stucked in somewhere not in the map. Can anyone help me on this? Thanks!")

                                Eric,
I just bought this phone and from Malaysia too, but i've lost my map due to memory card error. Could you mail me a copy of your map?
                                Thanks!
