Does the gsp operate independently or do you have to be connected though the network?
Ther eis some contradictaroy information that without being connected to the provider's network the gps won't work.
Any clarificatin would be much appreciated

When is GSM Arena going to review this phone? I'm getting a headache reading all the "opinions" from Optus, Vodafone, Strathfield salesmen, and I'm sure average joe's idea of a "good" phone does not line up with mine. Give us an objective review please.

the reason the lights come off and on is because of the light sensor on the front of the phone. if there is sufficient natural light around you then the phone recognises it and the backlight commes off. it is not a defect, it is an battery saving feature

The lights going on and off on the key pad is because it is light sensitive and on nokia sometimes it doesnt work as good as other brands..

I agree with you Jay, ebay seems a little dodge in the sense of warranty...if your gona pay for an expensive phone like that you need a proper warranty!!!

I've just bouught this phone in malaysia and i could say i'm quite impressed with it. No flaws but i'm curious. Is there any way to update the map. I think the map for Malaysia is not updated. Most of the time i find myself stucked in somewhere not in the map. Can anyone help me on this? Thanks!

Bought the phone new However, the lights on the keypad go on and off at odd times, and when i open the slide sometimes dont come on at all. i sent it back and got a brand new phone.. and it does the same thing, wondering if its an inherent problem? has anyone else experienced this? its driving me mad, wondering if i should return this one as well... any reply greatly appreciated...

Nice phone but ever since loading and syncronising it with route 66 it comes up with "key syncronisation needed" continue, yes or no. I have contacted route 66 and they say it's a problem with the software?
Also sending an sms there is no option for smileys, also when pushing the keys the phone creaks. Find smsing with sony ericsson phones more user friendly.
