I think people are only saying its a girls phona when discussing the PINK version. It is also avail in silver and black (very stylish)

Hey Listen all you people why is it that this is considererd a chicks phone guys aslo like a professional looking fone "slim and sleek" so a big BOOOOO!! to nokia for reckoning its a chicks phone i really think nokia needs a new marketing manager considering that they WERE the best mobile phones back then and now that they are tryign to get back in the flow with all the competitors they are making big mistakes!

Pros: Looks good, small package.
Cons: Short battery life, average 2 days. Can be extended if you disable the wallpaper, max 4 days. Poor camera phone picture quality. Can't change font size of message to small (i.e. harder to read long SMS).
After 2 months it still works (unlike the other post here wherein their phone dies or breakup in less than a month)

i had dis pone 4 lik 2 weeks .it was gr8 until the screen went completly blank an i cant get it 2 work.i really dont reccommend dis phone:1 min its brilliant n workin,an da next,its completely broken down.

Hi I am wondering whether to purchase the nokia 6111 in pink, but after reading some of the opinions I am unsure. Can someone please tell me if they recommend me buying one?

I've had my 6111 for a while now. I fully read the manual beforehand, especially the bit about not leaving the phone on charge all night every night cos it will actually ruin the battery and shorten its life. I found out how to adjust the ringing volume, and so far the phone has been absolutely fine. I have had no problems at all. The only criticism I have is that the key pad doesn't extend far enough and it's a bit fiddly to text on the tiny buttons with no room to put your fingers, but apart from that I'm really happy with it. And to Emily, if you have a look on Ebay there are hundreds of pink ones.

battery life, mine lasts 3 days never turned it off and it was used a lot.

The volume for the earpiece or speaker is at the side of the phone (external feature). Just press the + and you'll get better volume.

i think the slide actions bust on this i got one but i got an email from orange saying it had quality issues and its been recalled so i had to send it back the slide never did work properly and it turned itself off alot

All you people saying you can get the time of message etc, well you can in message select optios scroll up once too message details and its all in there date time person etc.

i've had my nokia for about 5 days now and i really love my phone. Everyone i know is jelous. Now that i have read everyones comments im really scared that it is going to have all these problems.
My battery life doesn't seem 2 bad but the only problem i have is that i cant see the times on the messages!!!!! i can see who send them just not the times... if anyone knows how to fix the problem could they please let me no..

has anybody else had a problem getting hold of a pink one. I've been trying for ages and all i've been told by the major high street stores is that Nokia haven't sent any of the pink ones out? Does anybody know why or if i am likely to get one.

It's a nice small trendy phone. I like my Nokia and regardless all the bad opinions about it, I found the functions are all working fine.
Guess I'm one of the lucky people out there.
