My version is 03.70, made in 12/05/2006, RM-115 - NOKIA. My release is old too, but I don´t have trouble with my phone, not yet... But i think that send to maintenace for actualize the version... I dont´know... Be luck!

OK... I see mauricio is kind of subjective with his review...
From my point of view the 6131 from nokia isn't a brilliant phone or a piece of junk... it's just a fine phone... i don't think that there are many producers out there who create models with such rich features at this price.
I've heard that the last version of nokia 6131 firmware (5.50) lets the phone communicate with the motorola models via BT and it has the stereo BT capability.
My problem is that my current firmware is 3.50 and as you all know the only way to upgrade it is Over The Air. How can i upgrade it if i don't have the Download firmware option in my phone? pls help!

Peoples!! Im from Brazil... and finaly I buy this phone was 5 days... Realy the battery during only 2 days with minimum calls. And the case too realy is delicated construction, and the button open system is very too delicated. The external dixplay is not bigger...is smal... I byu plastic silicon cover to protect the phone. Is veru sheap (U$ 4,00). The camera quality is very poor, really. The only things that this phone is good is the internal display on 16 million colous, and the manus is very complete. The sound ir normal, isn´t very good or bad... will be better if the sound was stereo (speaker). I want the system open flip don´t broken, because is very delicated. The config of external display is soo complicated for adjust. The plug connector of power is very small size, and I like the single model (bigger). If the battery life was more good, the others caracteristicas bad isn´t so important. In this phone, the battery life is most important. If the NOKIA will made the other type of battery with more power (with use polymerer litium ion), this phone is the best. I think that the NOKIA have that think how resolve this trouble. it´s very necessary. It´s very important. Please NOKIA, change this battery for a new model of more power!!!! Thanks!!!

I have had this phone for quite some time now and I can truly say it's great. There is one drawback that is the battery life, but if you don't abuse it everyday it'll last enough (at least for me).
Btw, using the music player doesn't take up that much energy from the battery as when you're playing java games, so listen to music rather than playing games on long journeys ;) (I have listened to 4 hours of continuos music in aac+ format and took 2 calls and the battery was still full)

you dont have to update the firmware if you cant connect with the motos bluetooth... just send a small file line a gif or some thing and itll connect and you can send a bigger file afterwards... try that! about the music player ,i use to make this phone as mp3 player it will only last a day... about the battery life. yeah its not that good, i think because of the thin battery pack... just charge it even after it is saying battery full that would lengthen its battery life...
i own the phone for about 6 months now, no problem so far,.,,

TO THE ONE WHO CALLS HIMSELF CeLL..... WHERE DID YOU GET THIS PHONE BY 150$???. If I search in the web, the price is about 220$ (the cheapest price).
To all the other users in general....
Another things I wanted to know are:
1)How is the mp3 ringtones sound quality compared to the Sony Ericsson W810??
2)If I use it as a mp3 player, how long will the battery last??? I ask this because the only complaint that I have read about this phone is the battery life.
3) Can I buy a better battery for this phone?? (I don't know too much about cells since I have never owned one)

i have one from not more than 8 week and change the battary but the mobile have a very bad battary

Its neccesary update the firmware of telephone to version 5.50 for use the bluetooth with motorola.

lousy phone.my friend got one and it broke from the first day(the microphone).the plastic has a poor quality and the finish sucks.also it has no protection on the main display.the camera though it's a 1.3MP takes some horrible photos. the only positive things are that it's light,small,and has a brilliant display(my n73 feels quite bulky sometimes)

hi i have a 6131 and dont like so much because the mp4 (videos) be retarded the imagen and the music is running, but allthing is fabulous the display is true color!!! and bluethoot 2.0

I just got this phone.
My buddy has a Motorola (v770 i think) but i can't transfer anything through Bluetooth...
I saw someone else said you first transfer something small, then they "synchronise" ??
Is that true ? I was trying to send some photos, I don't remeber what size though.
Are there any other adjustments that can be done ??

i want this phone so much until at school i did not eat so much i save and save and save but now i still have oly $136 only i think i have to save more often.....how could u get for this hp.....???????

No u cannot break the phone by opening it manually,u have to hold it well while opening it by pushing the spring button cause it might jump up from your hand.Personally I opened it manually&so far no problems.Screen is delicate cause doesnt have glass protection like other models,so it can scratch easily especially with women"s earings,so I protected it by applying plastic film on screen&so far so good.Great phone&I love it

this fone is underrated its got all mp3 functions plus graphic equaliser & stereo widening plus radio & a great screen camera with good results its a gorgeous clamshell with no faults and i really cant believe its weight its so light.

..the battery shoud be a 5 bl-c ...but it is 4..that is the problem with thw phone..in rest is the best phone u can get for 150$ bucks..the display is great.

I can conect to motorola phones with bluetooth, but bit of process. Because it being a different brand of handset, you need to either send a photo (something small)from the motorola to the nokia 6131 or vice/versa. This pairs them so you can grab onto it.... I love this phone, one of the best handsets nokia has created...
