I bought this phone a couple of days ago, and I am now a little worried about the push-to-open button... I worry about it breaking down with repeated use. But if that really does happen, I guess it won't be so bad. I'll just go back to the old ways of flipping it open myself. :)

The battery is a bit of a downer as I need to recharge it everynight, as most people have experienced - no matter how many power-saving options you turn on! But you can get used to that too if you're a 9-5 worker like me and just want to relax at night, don't spend so much time on the phone. I leave it there on the charger and before I go to bed it's done, no dramas there.

A simple rule to remember is that no phone is perfect, every model has its flaws - if you can learn to live with these and exploit good points, any phone is a good phone!

      Hi guys!
I purchased Nokia 6131 on the 14th Aug and noted flwg prblms from next day:- 1) Poor audio quality or distorted reception 2) Quick drainage of batt. Needs charging every 24 hrs even though only minimal use. All power saving modes used.
Gave it to Nokia Care in Mumbai & they first said that speaker is defective. Then they changed it to " faulty IC". Now I am awaiting further "Reports". BTW, this phone is really great if it does not have any problems as it has excellent features and a reasonable cost. So I hv asked Nokia Care to replace above phone with a new 6131.
Memory card available with warranty are 1 GB. Smaller ones of 512 & 256mb( from Kingston) are also available, but No wrnty.

I don't know if somebody already wrote about it but anyway this is how I resolve this problem with my Nokia 6233

If your SMS late, meaning you receive it at 12.00h and in message details is other data, than set your TIME ZONE as GMT and set your clock on normal time as it is in that moment. Further, no more late

I just got this phone yesterday, and I'm lovin' it!! It really is value for money, and I'm really a proud owner. Everytime I flip open the phone, its vibrant colours splash out at me...even the external screen has kickass quality! Simply wonderful.

All the functions that really matter are there, so for a businessman like me it's practical and stylish.

The battery life is only poor if you misuse it. There are options that let you use power saving features and extend your battery life. Find out what they are and activate them, and you won't have any gripes with having to recharge 24/7.

For those of you considering to buy this phone, go ahead and treat yourself! You won't be disappointed.

i'm guessing the navigation is 4-way? it looks so, but it does look kinda skimpy on the left and right. let me know if i'm right. thanks

I've had this phone for almost 4 months now and I can say that despite a few minor cons, all in all it's a great phone! Excellent design, very reliable (no problems whatsoever so far) and extremely easy to use. The main display is absolutely fantastic. I would give it a 5/5 stars for design, display (both of them), connectivity and signal; 3/5 for battery, 3/5 for camera and 3/5 for accessories/package. Even though after you buy it you must make a few more "investments" (memory card and USB cable), I would say it's worth every penny! ;)
