Does anybody know why Chinese companies have so much demand for used 6131? we sell volume qty of used phones but the 6131 for some reason has alot more demand and higher value.

You can update your software for free by downloading Nokia software updater from Nokia website. Install it on your pc, and connect your phone 6131 through a USB cable CA-53 to your pc. USB cable on this link:

the unit's housing can now be replaced, here in our country (Philippines) there is a lot of that type available in Quiapo, Manila or if you want you can also go to the nearest Nokia Service Center and once you gave the downpayment, they are going to order it that would take approximately 2 weeks to arrive (i'm not really sure), that's the info we got when we inquired in one of the service centers here.

I've only had it for about 9 mont... morehi Krizzeeh, my wife's mobile had the same problem. we went to a lot of hussle because that prob is one of a kind...the status of the mobile back then was screen is black and there is no more back light for the keypad but we noticed that it is still working when we take a deeper look into the screen. it was repaired by replacing the board because the repairman can't detect where the circuit was shorted. we were just lucky that he has a friend who has the right spare parts...now, if ever that we have the same problem, the question is where will you find the right parts for your mobile coz here in our place, i noticed that there's only few stores whose selling the unit...hope this helps.

It is a great phone! It has lot of functions for a moderate prize or low(it depends of the money you have).
I was told that if you put a 2Gb memory you can have different kinds of problems.
True it is that when you are accesing the memory(1GB) it takes a little time. But common! It works very well and the definition is fantastic. 2 screens that allow you to personalize it is very rare!
Problems: i have had to repair the speaker, but i think that is a common problem in the nokia`s series.
The definition of the cam is not one of the bests... but the cell is not for taking pictures! Better to buy a camera and this phone than to pay a fortune to be able to take "normal" pictures.

or tilt it down while its supposed to vibrate. that also worked for me
