IF it had wi-fi, and its bottom corners were squared.....then I may call this one BY THE VERY FIRST TIME "THE PERFECT CELLPHONE" in my cellphone usage life and in all my surfing times on cellphones in the web...(coz it has EVERYTHING for me, starting by being a Nokia branded phone)....sadly nothing's perfect...

The probleme with having to wait too long for a phone (apart that waiting for a phone is a bit insane...), is that most of the time you get disappointed when you finally get it because your expectations had been too high.

        Chris:

i agree. im pretty sure speakerphone is included in its feature list. just imagine d currently released low end Nokia phones having em and a 6220 classic running on Symbian OS 9.3 not having as such is quite ridiculous.. der is no chance of having d FM radio work wdout earphones or d adapter plugged in. apparently even d upcoming flagship W980 walkman phone (which supposedly to hav dat feature initially) but now according to GSMarena, SE has removed dat functionality!

how i wish 6220 classic has at least an equalizer (previous Nokia classic indexed models do not have any, AFAIK..) and better yet stereo widening, loudness settings too! =) i can live wdout WLAN, direct 3.5mm audio jack and accelerometer so i think i'll ditch N82 black for this one. though im also considering 5320 XpressMusic

This is almost a complete phone. I read somewhere however that this does not have a speakerphone? Is it true or not? It would break my heart if it didn't. Any chance its radio would work without the need for the earphones plugged in?

50 times digital zoom might not be completely useful as it will cause blurry images.

if you can live without wi-fi on a mobile phone...this is definitely the best choice among nokia's new releases

yeah...nokia put out the luxries in this cell .that were present in N82 and N95 8gb like larger secreen motion sensor wi-fi etc.so the price isn't that much less .it should b around 270 Euro.

From Nokia press release of 11 february 2008 : "The Nokia 6220 classic is expected to start shipping in the 3rd quarter of 2008 in selected markets with an estimated retail price of 325 euros, before taxes and subsidies."
Add about 20% tax that is 390 euros. Much more than the 290 euros quoted before

14200 isn't that cheap. The price of the unit stated by Nokia at the time of the announcement was 300 euros. It isn't that much cheaper than what was promised.

In this thai site, price is listed as 14200 bahts, which is 290 euros (1euro=49 bahts). Hard to believe so cheap...
