just got my unit which was made in china. there seems to be a missing game (Chess). maybe its in the CD-ROM. small screen, battery life depends on usage really. nice Tin Silver color. keypad ok. 1000 memory phone book is great. Group Sending is my best feature where in i can group phonebook entries and type one message only to send to people in that group. Better than Send to Many.

6230 can use 1GB MMC card... there is no 1GB RS-MMC for the 7610 yet, 2GB MMC is on beta.... that is enough memory for the most ardent user

Hey.Im wondering if i should buy Nokia 7610 or 6230.I am going to upgrade the memory card in this phone to perhaps a 64mb or a 128 mb.In the mean time,i am wonder if a USB cable is avaliable with the purchase of this phone.Because i really dont want to spend more money on accessories.
I love 7610 for:
The huge amount of memory
Great picture quality
Applications
I love 6230 for:
Design
Browsing speed
It being an mp3 player.
(I know 7610 plays mp3 too.But i heard a lot of complains about the RealPlayer)
Cheaper in my country
So?

I suppose the answer is the same as I left for Star,(only my opinion) it´s a question of needs and taste. You´re comparing a small series 40 phone to a bigger symbian platform phone. Personally I had a 6600 and got rid of it for being an uncunfortable phone, but it does have a fantastic software.

Can you increase the voice recording capability of this phone from only 3 minutes to at least 1 hour? Does a 'voice recorder software' help increase the voice memo capability of 6230 ? If so, where can one get this? Tnx.

I suppose it´s a question of taste and needs. On one hand you have a small 6230 with a hole bunch of features, just about everything you need. On the other you have a bigger 7610, but a symbian platform, which for apps. is much better. You just have to know what you really need.
Compare them both this site and decide.
Take care

Mine lasts 2 days, regular phone call use (my average phone use is around 300 min/month), without switching off at night, and whenever i´m in the car it´s connected to bluetooth kit. If you´re gonna use it for mp3 and radio listening for extended time, i suppose it´ll last less time.
Take care
