Is there a way of diverting calls from specific callers on this phone? I'm not sure if such a facility is an existing Nokia feature or whether it's sth that the mobile phone operator provides.

GP use quicktime to change the Mpeg to 3gp. file the best setting is 160k 35 35 for sound 15fps at 8 mono.

i've uplaoded mpeg files to my 6230 phone, why cant i play it in my phone?? or does what r the only files i can play in this phone??? can anybody help me here?? please email me.. gp_m7@yahoo.com

SIM card problem, u might need to change sim card...
latest FW is V 3.17
6230 is now more then 3 mothns old, K700i has just been released, so i dont think 6230 is the dudlicate of K700i, it is the other way around... i cant even find K700i in riyadh, do i have to go to dubai?? sucks

great features stored in one compact-sized phone. but the tiny screen is the impact of the compacted size. but that's OK!! this is the duplicate of SE K700(i)with the small screen yet with the great features

Has any1 got this problem.. sometimes the fone suddenly says "SIM card cannot be detected please insert SIM card" i have to reboot for it to detect the SIM again. i got this twice now. having the fone for about 2 weeks :-O

Come on Nokia, time to wake up ! Has your marketing team been on holiday for the past few years ? No need to be a genius to understand that people want SMALL phones with BIG screen. SonyEricsson was dying three years ago and then came up with the 610 : big hit. That's why the K700 will also be a huge success : a small phone with a big screen. And the good old Nokia still have two kinds of phones : the bulky and expensive Serie 60 and the out-of-date and small screen Serie 40. It is time for the hundreds of Nokia engineers to do a little bit of work, and come up with a phone people really want. If all the other phone companies can make dozens of really new phones every year, why Nokia cannot ? No wonder Nokia market share is shrinking. Contrary to what Nokia thinks, design isn't everything in a phone.

I have been a big fan of Nokia products starting with the first Nokia 232 Analogue Phone and have had another six models since. I recently purchased a Nokia 6230 Phone and have had nothing but problems with it. When I first started using the phone I noticed that the profiles section did not work but later found out that this is easily fixed by resetting the factory settings on the phone. My next problem was that every time I use the Hands free kit and when I start talking it crackles a lot, to the point of becoming unbearable if you talk for a long period of time. Since the phone was still under the exchange warranty period I received a new Nokia 6230. When I started using the new phone I found that the crackling problem was still there which makes me think that it wasn’t just my phone that was faulty but it must be a problem with all 6230 phones. Also another problem with the new phone is if I charge it overnight and go to turn it on in the morning the time, date and world time is reset in which case my wake up Alarm wont work. I might just have been unlucky with the phone but I am truly disappointed with a Phone that boasts so many features and they cant even get the basic features right.

I have just bought a new nokia 6230 but when trasferring numbers from my nokia 7250 via infa red it stops after 15 numbers does anyone know why ar is there a way round it
