I have had this phone for awhile, i work with all the new phones etc. But i have to say i still love my phone, its more than what i need. and has what i want. It is my memory for birthdays, reminders etc. has bluetooth, camera, and loudspeaker.
Though all these new phones seems all that, and i have to admit the new N70 is awesome, and i dream of it(haha). this phone still kicks ass!

I just bought a Plantronics Discovery 640 bluetooth, and i 'm having a lot of problems setting it up. I went online, and the instructions said to put in a passcode but nowhere on the nokia 6230 ask to put it in. So if anyone is a pro with setting up bluetooth please I need your help.

I have been using this phone for the part one year now and there has not been any major fault. The only thing I observed is that, it restarts on its own when been used for quite a long time. I wont blame the phone as I just wont allow it to rest. It is one of the best phones that Nokia has manufactured. Like the other phones, it comes with its limits as the mobile phone companies are not fools (excuse me to say) to add everything you need to one particular phone. Today you have 32mb mmc with 128x128 display, radio, mp3 and camera, tomorrow 64mb with 178x208 display without radio but mp3 with camera, next day 128mb with 240x320 with tv, mp3 with camera as well. This is what prompts you to buy phone year after year. Though I love my Nokia6230, I wish I can take video for an hour, have bigger display with about 512mb mmc. This would have been lovely and splendid. No matter what, I also have to think about the coming N-Series to be abbrest with time but I still love my phone.

hey Christy,
I know why youor phone do not allow you to have songs or other data more than 2Mb. It is bcasue of th version of your cell bluetooth, the old bluetooth can just transfer to 2Mb data at once, that's thier limit, but the new one have the limits to 10Mb. so it is not up to phone to get it the bluetooth do not allow it. try cable or IrDA. Good luck

I want to download all my contacts into the 6230.
I see that it can receive up to 1.000 people, with several phone numbers and addresses (mail, street, etc.), BUT UP TO WHAT THE MEMORY CAN HANDLE.
I have 800 people with an average of 2 phone numbers AND the street and number.
Does anybody knows if the phone would accept this much info?
Thanks in advance

this is a good phone really, but i had a very silly problem with it:
1- there's only 5 caller groups and i can't increase them, and why i can't make a separate ringtone for every user?? there's any help with that ?
2- that phone comes without games?? i got it free of games, but it doesn't make any problem to me, but just want to know if all 6230 are the same !
3- my firmware V 3.17 and date 2004, and it doesn't read more than 128 MB MMC.
4- it would be nice if i can record from FM, but i know i can't .. no problem with that:)
5- screen is low quality now.. it's pitty!
thank u and i need help with caller groups problem plzzzz

I'm crazy about to change my mobile every month. Now days I'm using Nokia 6230, it's realy a nice and smooth to use. Nokia puts so many benefits in such a small size. I preffere this to 6600 or 7610. Because I think a mobile phone sould be seen a mobile phone.
