Hello,
I am on the verge of getting my next
Nokia and I hesitate between 7610 and 6230. Can u please tell me what significant things I can do with this Symbian OS, can I surf in the net like from a PC,can i chat for instance in icq, what can I do and can you please advice which phone to purchase-7610 or 6230. The advantage of 6230 is its radio but this is not a problem to complain, right, well it matters but not that much!?

well, thats true. you can record videos up to 5 hours with digital cameras, and to top it, an average 3.1 megapixel digital camera is about three times cheaper than the 6230. folks, if u need an imaging device, get a digicam and leave Nokia Corporation alone.

why do people keep complaining about the display of the 6230? if you need to take great pictures, why not get a digital camera that can give you as high as a 3.1 megapixel resolution (even more!!!) and a screen with a higher resolution than you need and which displays over one million colours ?

The 6230 has been a 'live-saver' for internet access for me. The EDGE connection is giving me relatively fast access and great mobility. I have the unfortunate pleasure of living in a location where 'broadband access' is still unavailable. I was posting speeds of up to 115.2kbps with my BT connection. To get a more secure and faster access, I was recommended the DKU2 USB cable. I am using it currently, and my PC is registering an access speeds of "460kbps". I am puzzeled as the phone has a limitation of 236kbps. Does anyone have any answers???

The Nokia 6230 is a good phone. The camera is good but the screen is not good for displaying photos or even taking photos. It is too small. The sound quality is good, so is the FM radio and MP3 quality.
The four way navigational button is not good to use. Easy to selected the wrong key. This phone is not really suitable for guys.

should i get this phone ? i heard complains bout the screen being too small
im just wondering whether would it affect the picture and video capturing ? when we transfer it to pc or even viewing from the phone itself ?

The phone is the best i ever had and it has everything on it. With a mmc of 256MB does almost everything a phone can do.

jz a std whose trying 2 hold on a new hp..been searchin round and this hp is really good for my budget..so wat u guys think ? izzit still worth to buy it now ? or shud i wait other phone or wait till the price drop further ? hope to get new hp soon .. hehe..

hey wankyboy...try to remove the operator logo..i have ur problem last time too..but when i remove the operator logo..everthing return to normal...it sounds strange..but u can try and see..

Just a little question, why is the Message Alert Tone suddenly very quiet? It's not as loud as it was before, and it changed just like that.
Seems pretty weird, since the sound is like it should be when I listen to it at the Tone Settings, but when I recieve a SMS then it can barely be heard.
Anyone who knows something about this?..

it doesnt support flash files...not does it support Jar files, real player or MPEG4....the video mode is 3GP...

I own a 6230, its got a gr8 mp3 player, if u upgrade the memory card like the 256 i have.....great to store songs, good cam as resoltuin pretty impresive on a comp....and the GPRS is faster....i think i had a great buy....its the only phone i think...that has MP3, RADIO, CAMERA and BLUETOOTH!!! (infared also which i nenver used)....

jim buy a smartphone or a ipaq if you wanna read msn on it.
6230 is just a phone,wit lot's of multimedia things on it.
Or search in the forums,not here.
