I think that we will see Nokia 6230i in stores after CeBIT(Hanover from 9-13 march).
I hope that price won't be more 300€.

How do you say 6230i has got two speakers (3D sound). Its not given anywhere in the specs.
- Guys, 128x128 or 208x208 does not indicate the screen size. It indicates the number of pixels horizontally and vertically available on the screen. Nokia 6230 has 128 pixels horizontally and vertically, whereas 6230i has 208 pixels horizontally and vertically. This gives a much better & sharper resolution. Now it can use more pixels to display an image which will be much sharper and bright. I am actually much more happy that they have made the new interface (icons) look lot more colourful than the old icons (in 6230) which was dull & uninspiring icons (i really hate it....having 65k colour screen, they have desined icons which looks as if its designed for 256 colours)

this is a fantastic phone with a hell of a lot of features.but for me you cant get a better phone than a sony ericsson s700i.it has everything you could possibly want exept the size of it.

By several standards N6230 is an excellent phone but it is completely outclassed by N6230i. The newer phone is convincingly better with a 1.3 meg cam and high 208 x 208 res display which enable dramatic transformation in video/picture capability. Placed side by side with N6230, N6230i's display is so much sharper even with an identical 65k colors. A bigger screen would have been appreciated, but the sharpness of the display downplays the size limitation. Welcome additions in the form of 3D sound capability, advanced media player, usable push-to-talk facility, a usb port, bigger int memory and visual radio are difficult to ignore. Overall, N6230i is a class act. It simply rocks. Great effort, superb quality. I must have one. Well done Nokia.

reply to ate.yes but.i really HATE small screens.thats why i choose a sagem myv55 over a nokia 3200 beacause of the screen size.but that was 10 months ago.it is a perfect phone but the screen[and p[robably the price]will put me off

Nokia 7280 - 4807 pixels/sq.cm...thats the reason why the screen of the 7280 even though its so tiny appears so crisp & smooth..

Here are the Display densities of a few popular models...
Sony Ericsson K700/W800/K750 - 3709 pixels/sq.cm
Sony Ericsson S700 - 4770 pixels/sq.cm
Nokia 7610 - 2551 pixels/sq.cm
Nokia 6230 - 2247 pixels/sq.cm
Nokia 6230i - 5934 pixels/sq.cm
I think that should give an idea about how clear the 6230i screen is..

this the big brother of the best fone on the planet, if someone has used the N6230, and wants some more goodies added to it.. this is the phone to have, ie a better camera and an easier to handle 5-way key. if you love the 6230, this is the one to go for, but wait a lil while till the prices come down

this is a great phone and ppl more pixels doesnt mean a bigger screen. A small screen can have more pixels and the pixel density will increase making it more sharp

Is it me ! or is it once again the case that nokia have failed to put an automatic keyguard on the nokia 6230i as they did with nokia 6630. i am starting to think that nokia do this sort of thing on purpose. and they also seem to not have learn,t from the poor battery life ! by still sticking with a blc5 instead of a blc6 which gives 25% more life. i think samsung will be replacing nokia as the market leader within the next few years if they dont pull there finger out and start listening to the customer !poor show once again NOKIA
