This is the best phone I ever had! It never gave me any problems and I have it for two years now but it's time to upgrade and change... What is the model after this phone? I am deciding between Sony Ericsson W580i and Nokia 5310? Please advise

i have had the 6230i Since 2005 and it still works like new! its one of the best phones iv have ever had, before 6230i i had 6230 both were great phone but i liked the 6230i more becuase of its better display resolution mp3 player etc it still works perfectly up till this day ! the camera is good enough, mp3 player played Music Nicely! iv now upgraded it to a 6300, but the 6230i is still in Use!

Great phone this 6230i & also older 6230! My supports 1GB MMC+ card from pqi, so MP3 music all the way & go. With changed new battery 1020mAh working for a good week :)

New 3310? Ok, last month my 6230i turned 2 years old and i can still use it confidently in public! For the theme guy, you can google and download nokia s40 theme creator and you will never have that problem again. Does the 6230i rock? DEFINATELY! Although it had its flaws like not being able to save applications to card to name a few, it still served me and everyone else who was not born rich well. My prediction and/or advice, if ur planing on getting a big brother for the 6230i, look towards the 6120classic, its an s60 phone but follows the same trend. Just like the 3310 had the die hard character, there two phones follow that path and only ever get beaten when its time. 3310 had to die coz of colour, the 6230i is soon to bow out to 3G, wi.fi, support for more than just 8 good applications. Anyone who knows their phones will agree that these phones, relative to the price, were on top of their game! Even though its time for my upgrade i still take my 3310 for a walk every now and then, and i know my 6230i wont bare a grudge for being the #2 choice phone.

i really really like the phone so much.but there is one thing that i did not understand is the THEMES i want to change the main display but no way to do that.and there is security code on the phone and i did not know the code again.plz kindly help me out.thank,s alot

Im writing this in Jan 2008, thats roughly 3 years after the 6230 hit the market. Still, this model is being sold in shops. This is the best proof of the success of a model. 6230i is one of the best mobiles ever. Considering its price, category, year of manufacture one can say it is the best mobile ever produced. Is that too much of a compliment. Think of this - simple elegant design, easy keys, 1 hour video, 1 hour audio and any number of photoes with reasonable quality, 1000 phone book entries, clear reception, clear speakerphone, a sound quality almost as good as a good cd player, option to upgrade memmory. 6230i was a phone that came earlier than its time. That is why it still sells. 100% recommended.

Hey Guys help me out. Got this phone a while ago. Second hand may be. It is a great phone though. I like it. Camera not functional. Once i go to Camera menu it indicates stand by mode. What do I do. Any ideas? James

another great phone from nokia had it for a year the i switched to k800 for another year now i have 6120c , nokia makes the greates handsets
