Lucky you Thio! You've 33 hours operating of your 6230i. Look at me.. when I bought this 'sucker' 6230i I've only got maximum 24 hours operated of the batery lifetime a day. Now, after about 2 months I'm using this phone, I've only 13 hours standby time. I already change with the new batery but at least I've got only 16-17 hours operating. I've tried to fixed this problem to the Nokia Center but still can find any problems. Until my friend at the office call me "The Charger Man". You know what? I must bring the charger everytime everyday everywhere beside my 6230i. Poor me.. oops.. poor Nokia!

Thio, I have the same problem and now my cellphone is in the NPC for repair. Crazy isn't it, only after a few days of usage they refuse to give 1 to 1 replacement. Probably will undergo a engine change. I suppose this is the design defect of the N6230i. It's quite often heard here about the battery. If you're lucky it's working fine, if not, battery sux. Other function works very well.

I buy this 6230i 2weeks ago. For the first time I'm very salute. The features are very completed. The first menu I try is the "Ring Tone": the ringer not to loud even I'm setting to the high level: 5. Then I'm found: the batery life only 33 hours operated even only for the standby (no use for the call. no use for the sms & no using the other menus). Uh poor Nokia. I will sell it! Haree genee koq batere boros!

Nokia has come out with a phone which is EXCELLENT for those who want performance NOT looks, with N6230i you can do any thing, it will be good if Nokia launches a new version of 6230i with 256K display and Email attachements.

                    Dear All,

If you remember me, My new N6230i got battery/power problem. It drains in just around 24hours. Battery is actually good(checked), so it's the handset. It's been in Nokia for the 2nd time now, and it's almost 2 weeks without any progress.

What I wanted to say : What kind of service is that? It's barely new and if they can't fix it, they should've replace my handset immediately! But it's not happening until now.

This somewhat change my idea of Nokia which was good.. now I dunno anymore.. I'm just having a bad luck! I already sent them mails, I hope they do something about it!!!

                    I'm TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED NOW!

matt, to solve that problem you have to update the software. I had the same problem and when I updated the software it got solved once and for good.

One of the best phone I have ever seen.
There is nothing which I can not do with it.
USb ,mp3,FM,great phone book, MMS, email but without attachment support.I wish attachment support with email facility & we do not need anything else.6230i is best bet no doubt but Nokia lacked on it's advertisement.I know
this has more than users can take.

If you are only tring to connect your mobile to pc to upload/download songs, vids, pics etc you are better off buying a sandisk mobilemate sd+ . you can put the memory card from your phone in to the mobilemate, plug it into the usb port on your pc and drag and drop files on or off of the card.

I use this phone for 3 months. It is great. The software is stable.Sometimes it happens, that I cannot turn the bluetooth off.You have to restart your phone to turn the bluetooth of (I use 3.62 firmware version), but it really happens very rarely. The quality of calls is high, the phone is very functional!Photos quality taken by the integratet camera is not as high as in Sonyericsson k750i,but overall it is good enough fom mms purposes and for viewing the photos on the screen of your computer.Phonebook is the best I have used, sms and mms editor, organiser are good enough (organiser, sms and mms editor is better in siemens cx65).Overall it is very good mobile phone. I really reccomend it!!! :->

Anyone know if there are plans for a North American version? One with GSM 850 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900 for North America like the 6230 has. Why don't they have a version like that. Would buy one if I could find that but looks like I will have to go with the 6230 instead
