I bought my Nokia 6233 a month ago, second hand, with a price of 4,000 Philippine pesos. (I traded in my old Sony Ericsonn 750i for 1000 pesos).

So far I like this phone very much. But there are some negatives I find in it, such as the following: 1) Camera doesn't have a flash and/or autofocus; 2) Night mode doesn't work; I could only use the "normal" mode when shooting in normally bright to outdoor lighting (anymore dimmer than that and I get a blotchy picture); 3) The phone switches off suddenly while I'm watching a sizeable video file.

@dani=lol i own a k700i and i know what sony is about i just say that symbian uiq is more eye pleasent than symbian 60 but in functionality symbian 60 is wayyyyyy superior. just that and lol i am quite rich i can own soo many phones but happy with 6233 and looking 2nd hand n91 and rokr because their resale value is quite low so it will be a great deal, will buy any symbian this month

how Loud u want? compare nokia speakers with sonyericsson speakes ,nokia speakers produces only voice music, other instrumental, tribble etc r not produced properly, insted it producess bass ,it feel very poor .....
listen music through SE speakers all type of music r produced sharply and balanced, specially tribble is produced very nicely and sharply .
this is difference ,only loudness useless.

@dani=listen me was the no.1 fan of p990 and w950 but man Se kill them because lack of edge, poor volume in earphone means low volume, p990 speaker were horrible and video sucks but i must admit w950 and p990 user interface r still the best for me if they were nokia man they were due to be famous.

              @ super saiyan

I was asking for the link
I didnt say that n91 was a hit...pls kindly review my post

so you admit that you are assuming because of what you have experienced in your local nokia center

I must say wow...there goes your credibility

you cant even provide a link where it says it's a flop, how on earth are we to believe your claim?

do you expect people to believe what you've posted just because you say that it's true?

I dont have to prove anything to you since I didnt say that n91 is a hit nor did I defend the n91 for that matter,

I was just merely asking where
did you get the idea of n91 being a flop

by saying that, you have asked about ths in a nokia center doesnt really prove anything at all and just because you dont see anyone using an n91 in your area you've already assumed that n91 is already a flop

it seems even though you are unsure of what you are posting, you tend to generalize
              ^_^

I asked you this because I was curious it wasnt meant to attack your post whatsoever...

Nokia 6233 is a very very nice phone which has a flawless internet speed through which you can access many site.... The only drawback is that there is no flash and no symbian format support... Otherwise screen clarity... Is superb, nice music quality, ya having stereo speakers.

Only the old Symbian Phones were bad..

the new ones are Flawless starting from the N95(original)

the rest of them after the Original N95 are Stable and Fast and responsive.

                      @ Kunal:
Yes. And not only the SMS problem was solved with S60 v.3. Also, the malicious sis files trojan and malwares that used to infect the Symbian phones before, are now virtually impossible to be installed on S60 3rd edition phones. This is because of the controversial thing called "Mandatory Code Signing" made possible by the program launched by Symbian OS called the Symbian Signed Program. That's why S60 3rd edition phones are now far more safer than ever. Because obviously Symbian won't sign those dangerous applications.

I know there was problem in s60 v3, I just want to say Sonyericsson os(A100 / A200) is more stable ,faster ,better than s40, according to my experience

symbian os is king of mobile os, that sms problem is solved in symbian s60 v3.2

I just would like to correct someone's post with regards to S60 phones being unstable. Well for me, partly it is true and another part isn't true. All the previous Symbian phones that used to hang like the N70 for example isn't really the mistake of Nokia. Instead, it's the mistake of the Symbian Operating System where a spokesperson from Symbian Limited officially quoted and admitted that with Symbian OS v.8.1 on which the N70 uses to operate, the phone hangs after the consumer sends a hundred of texts. I don't know why people don't know these. They kept blaming Nokia for the hang problem of N70 when in fact it is the Symbian OS that needs to be blamed and not Nokia.

But all of those what they call "bugs" on the devices running Symbian OS are just simply turned into a history since the release of Symbian OS v.9.2 or S60 3rd edition Feature Pack 1. The first Nokia to operate using the S60 3rd edition FP1 was the Nokia N95(original), followed by the 6290, N76, E90 Communicator, 6110 Navigator, 5700 Xpress Music, 6120 classic, 6121 classic, N81 8GB, N81, N95 8GB, E51, N95-3 NAM, N82, 6124 classic..

I can ask d same question wid a little change.how cud u assume dat n91 is a hit?any links dat u could show us?' anyway i give d ans.i neva seen ny1 using a n91. I also searched 4 dis fon at nokia sales center.i was informed dat dis fon got countless firmware n hardware issue.
Almost every fon dey sold were returned in a very short period of time.so dey wont b sellin n91 in here anymore.dis was d case wid most of d countries.

nokia s40 n s60 very unstable, fone hangs any time no cause required ,I had very bad experience with nokia e50 n 6233, but now with Sonyericsson k550,I m really surpriced ,not single hang since 6 months.............
After runng 10 java games at same time k550 can work finely and this 6233 can run only 1 java app. at a time and hangs anytime............even new s40 fones hangs very badly

                                        ---quoted from super saiyans post

                                        first things first sir
                                        1. How could you assume n91 is a flop? any links that you could show us?
                                        2. you are probably right, here but sharp 903 was also being developed at the same time frame which also happens to sport a 3mp autofocus cam at that time...
                                        3. Landscape cam mode has been available for nokia 7650 months after it's release, its a third party application btw...
                                        4.its a good feature by S.E ^_^
                                        5. saying that walkman player "breaks barrier" because it is a walkman player could also be said as nokia having a realplayer as groundbreaking because its a realplayer, same goes for samsung's and motorola...
                                        5. small keypad? have you forgotten the monocromatic 8210, 8850, and such? now those are small keypads...
