what a waste of a phone by Nokia...i had the chance to get any other phone.....but now i ask y did i choose this..downgrade.....wish i got Sonyerricson W810i now

I've just reprinted the email below from Big Dave. I just got a 6233 (upgrade from 6230!) and he's absolutely right!
NOKIA - WHAT ARE YOU DOING????
6233 - THE FACTS. I've been reading some of the history about this phone on GSM Arena and I think its about time we clear up a few points and get to the truth.
1)In order to set reminders on the calendar it does take more moves than the old 6230 or 6230i. I am puzzled by this as technology surely means progress and yet you need to make 12 moves on the 6233 (entering on your chosen date) compared to only 8 on the 6230/i !!
2) and you can only scroll as far as 'ALARM' using the centre button and then have to tab down the rest of the way..
3) This a weird one. Even though you have entered calendar on your chosen date, the software insists that you still have to scroll through it again! This makes no sense to anyone whatsoever!!
4)Another odd one. When replying to a text message, the software takes back to the phone number of the person to whom you are replying! Why!! You are replying so don't need to send the message elsewhere, unless ofcourse you are receiving psychiatric treatment of some kind!! In any event, just choosing the option for 'contacts' (the old way) is still the best and more importantly, most obvious choice here!!
5) I've only been looking at this phone for five minutes so I do not be suprised when I print a few more facts about this phone!!
FOOTNOTE - I tried ringing NOKIA for an explanation (seemed only fare) but unless you want to spend ages on a premium rate line, waiting to talk to someone- YOU CAN'T!
I'd be grateful if anyone knows a number for NOKIA UK where I could speak to someone directly and get the answers..?
Other then that, this phone is BIG and it is HEAVY and if you have any concerns about what I have written, GO CHECK IT FOR YOURSELF!

i think ur video capturing setting in not correctly selected. go to video >settings>video resolution n select 640*480 than u can record ur video clearly.

HELLO NOKIA 6233 USERS!!!
i have some problems about the video recording on this phone. the objects are not clear.. in short, it has a bad quality most especially at night! do you encounterd same problem as mine?? are my settingS correct.? what is that video resolotion means??? do i have to change it to have more clear recording or what??? what is the size of your video resolution???
PLEASE ANSWER ME. asap!

well said its all true..the old 6230 has easier navigation ...and 6230i and 6230 and 6230i have got 1000 contacts 6233 has 500 this is a big heavy fone...i dont like that...i still have my previous 6230i ...b4 i got this 6233....i like my 6230i more...for those reason Big Dave has said.....

actually this a pretty accurate coment. it is quite hard to navigate this phone compared to 6230 and does take longer.

the best phone i bought so far. great features, cost less but has all the functions you need for a phone as well as a mp3 player. great stereo sounds (dual speaker). can support 2gb memory card. thats heavy man!!!!

I have this phone from about 3 monts......very simple to use, lot's of stuff, great/loud sound (stereo), card slot... if u like the design (this is the weakest spot of the model) well then this is your new phone!!! rockNroll

the 6233i if it comes out will the contacts wil stay at 500 contacts ..because they neva changed it in the 6230i ...i have no idea wat they could improve in this fone nothing to really..only contacts and built in memory...

get this 6233 ...it will last longer and is better than se w700i ...the w700i will brake down becuase its not tough....this 6233 is....and its the stereo speakers nothing can beat them.2 speakers(stereo) there so goood......all in all 6233 is better than Sonyerricson W810i,W800i,W700i,K750i,D750i...

Great little phone, pleasing user interface, navigation is easy & logical, generally an affordable device that's feature packed. A little heavy is my only complaint! Sadly, to get an uprated camera on a Nokia when upgrade time is going to mean buying a horrible "Symbian OS" phone which I'm dreading!!!
