Plz solve two issues:

1) is there any way we can Fast Forward or Rewind videos? if no, then whts the technical reason?

2) which MSN Messenger should i install in my 6233 which runs smoothly and easy to run with multi people?

    I experience that problem too. But not often. and it doesn't cause any damage or harm to me or my phone (i think). So i don't mind it, yet. But if you are requently experiencing the problem, then i suggest that you bring it to the nearest nokia service center.

    I don't know of such software for s40 phones. maybe there is such for s60 phones.

    Maybe you need to change the LANGUAGE to ENGLISH. Try it. Go to CREATE MESSAGE then TEXT MESSAGE then with your cursor on the message area, press OPTION then look for WRITING LANGUAGE. If that does not do the trick, then maybe others here will be able to help you solve it. =>

    If you have changed the sound settings (volume) and still encounter the problem then i think that its a manufacturing defect like what i had on my phone. bring it to the nearest nokia repair center.

      Also, the review here states that you can download new Firmware updates, how would one go about doing that?

        i bought my 6233 a month back, i cannot hear much from the hearing speaker, its very low(as compared to other nokia sets like nokia 1100 and n70), and keypad tones are also very low, when i press digits they are quite fine but compared to others its low, and when i write a msg, i am hardly able to hear the sounds of keypad, u can say there is no sound unless i take the speaker very close to my EAR.

        is this the manufacturing problem with this handset, or only i m getting this problem and your set is working fine... please reply soon...

            Anyone have software to split the partition of microSD.
            I tried the Partition Magic but it couldn't recognise the drive(microSD).

              hi,

              I found some strange behaviour in my N 6233.
              My phone restarts automatically.It is not like switching off the phone. But I can see only a white screen during that time.

              And one more, sometimes the mobile is sending message automatically.

              how can i rectify this problem?

                Cell info display is Network dependent. It shows messages from your home network (announcements, special offers, etc)

                i don't have any idea how to solve your problem. do you see a headset icon on the top of your screen?

                It depends on your phone's memory. The bigger the memory, the longer the clip. You can record a whole movie.. as long as the batteries permits.

                      98 pages..wheew, so many opinions..
                      You CAN transfer files higher than 3MB to u'r 6233..it is AUTOMATICALLY sent to u'r mem card if your phone mem is low..trust me, I've done it..

                        Hi,
                        I bought this phone abt 3 months back.
                        For the past 2 months...i hv been facing a strange prob..

                        Whenever, i plug in my handsfree...my phone tries to switch to PTT mode. I have managed to fiddle thru the Push To Talk options...but nothing works....but incase i change the profile...the prob...seems to go away for a while...but then reoccurs

                        Is there something that can be done??

                          Hi 6233 lovers:
                          + I heard of this problem - 6233 has 6Mb int memory, of which you can use about 3MB...And there is no way of bluetoothing straight to the memory card. So if you want to receive any files bigger than 3MB...it's not possible

                          had someone figured out the wayout here?

                            hi, please tell me how to display cell info. on screen. i enabled this option in display/standbymode menu but on screen it is not there.

                              The manual does not say anything about being able to modify the snooze time for calendar alarm. Sorry.

                              Seems there's a glitch on the FIRMWARE of your phone. a QUICK reformat of your phone might do the trick. bring it to the nearest Nokia wireless center and ask them to re-install the firmware or install the latest upgrade. If its still under warranty, you wont have to worry abut any cost. And Don't perform anything on your phone that would void its warranty! If this doesn't work, return your phone and ask for a new one... it mean its a defective unit (consumer rights?)
                              even if it seems to be OK now,just to make sure, have it checked...

                              Firmware updates don't give much YET.. but lets hope that they'll give us big changes in the future updates.

                              NO, nokia 6233 does not use CDMA.. it uses both gsm and W-CDMA netowrks (w-cdma is different from CMDA)

                              The big difference between GSM and WCDMA is that wcdma offers reduced COST for network providers and better communication for users. for more about wcdma check here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W-CDMA

                                Medo, you know what, I'm actually in a similar predicament right now. One of the best phones of 2005 is cheaper than the 6233 in my area. The K750i has Flash, and an auto-focus camera which the 6233 does not. But VGA video, 3G connectivity, good speakers and a larger and higher resolution screen sways me in the Nokia crowd still.

                                  In a couple of days time, I'll be getting this. Last time I checked the prices around my area increased 10% for this item, to my dismay. The Nokia 6288 looks like a really good package compared to this, but the popularity of the phone based on the 6280's problematic history sways me again in favor for this phone. What sucks is that the MicroSD card is just too expensive. Since this can do VGA video, I think I need to get a big card.

                                      I am a tata indicom pre paid user. I understand 6233 can be used on both GSM & CDMA network. Can anybody confirm that pls. A detailed explaination shall be heartly appreciated.
