quick and silly question....if you upgrade the software on this phone do you lose any memory thats currently stored or downloaded e.g. Internal Memory??, Ring Tones? Themes? Wallpapers, contact etc??

Im realyl not too sure with emails, but im pretty sure the account can't be deleted. U can only add other accounts. If i find out how to delete it i will let you know :)

@ Shifty: I've had mine for a few days. It's never turned off @ all. I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever, except the volume of the ringtone.
It's default setting is on the second loudest, which isn't that loud. But once it's set on the loudest, its too loud.
It has awesome speakers and it's VERY loud. Awesome screen....everything is just awesome about it LoL.
Just one question...I made an email address, but then I decided I didn't want it anymore. I tried to delete it, but there's no function to delete the account. *waits patiently for surferguy* :-P

nathan, i recommend you not buy the 6280, it looks cool but it gets spoil easily i think. I dropped it once not a serious fall, just minor, and the phone starts lagging and slows down, one more thing, i bought 1gb card when i put it with 100 songs in it, the player jammed! OMG! Im really happy wit moi 6233, no drawbacks except that it doesnt comes wit da flash light 4 camera. hmm:(

someone here said that the ringtone changed to default after changing the sd card. OF COURSE! what do you expect because when you take it out, then the mp3 tone could not be located, so it automatically set to the default tone. If you want to keep the same mp3 tone throughout, then you have to move your mp3 tone to the phone memory.

To shifty-> Pls do not hesitate to buy this phone, its da best phone eva, camera quality is damn good! i compared with my friend's k800i 3.2mpxls, its the same quality that means this phone is good with its 2mpxls. I never see any problem like restarting whatsoever and i even turned on the mp3 the WHOLE NIGHT! no auto-off at all! says who it auto-off!

Could someone tell me what the downsides to getting a 6233 is. Is it better then the sony ericsson v630i?

Im thinking of buying the 6233 but ive been reading the reviews and it says that it turns off:P so i am hesitating at buying it. could sum1 plz gimme sum advice.

just bought my 6233 yesterday! Its the best phone eva! I think this is the loudest Nokia HP, the speaker has stereo sound! OMG i love it! The camera clear excellent quality! good good good! Two thumbs up Nokia! To all ppl out there looking for new phone, Buy this i recommend!!!!

Hi Sathish, some answers to your questions:-
1) It will restart even just after 3 songs & half-way thru games. )sometimes happened
2) After changing card or after adjustments, especially Themes, u normally need to set it back for tones even wallpaper(stupid thing)
3) U can just go to Nokia center fm your country to perform that.
4) This is the only best of this phone, speed will not affected by the upgrading SD card.

Hi Sathish, what a pity, me too, feel great to own this phone & also hoping to keep it for a longer period before aiming for another...JUST because of this stupid restart problem!!! I can tolerate all those ascending tone, small fonts, memory but not this..... too bad, Nokia can't even solve issues customer feedback(just entertain till time passed) than forget about it just like my previous 6230i. They, infect, do this to make more $$$. Anyway, just aim for next model or switching brand.....

hi guys,
this is really a great phone with all latest facilities...
but few probs in my model...
1. its restarting after i m hearing FM or music player for long time.
2. after i changed my sd card. the tone is changing to default nokia. even i have selected another tone from phone memory.
3. my version is 3.0, how 2 i upgrade it to v4.7?
4. 1gb micro sd ll reduce the speed of mobile?

Hi guys, please assist me to resolve this problem:
I have backup data of 6230 with .nfb extention file (PC Suite 6.1). The problem is I cannot restore it into my new 6233, no error messages but the backup data is not recognized by both PC Suite 6.1 and the newest version.
Any reply is highly appreciated. Thanks!

Sexy.Funk. I also had the same problem with the cell info display.. hehe. U can't get cell info up on the "dual network mode". U need to change to GSM Network. You can do this by going Menu > Settings > Phone Settings > Network mode > GSM. Then Switch ya info display on.
Also in order to get the menu on the "grid" display simply go to the menu then on the bottom left an optian icon should apper and then u should have the option of menu view then the grid option.

hi,im from the Philippines and i need help. Can someone advice me whether 6233 or 6280 is the best in performance and over all in specs, and does 6233 also shuts down by itself like the 6280?, Im planning to buy nx week, but i cannot decide which of these two phones.. pls help... tnx and more power .. :)

Hi sexy.funk, don't panic, a simple way is:- Phone screen face top(sleeping position),headset connector with the less pin(3 pins)on the left or 2 metal spring lock facing down. Just push in gently & light suppose to turn on when probably connected.
After 3 or more plug & unplug, it will goes loose & no issue in future. Just try it.

hi all. i purchase 6233 two months back and i am using the same. after comparing all mobiles, my result is that no one beat 6233 in terms of features and price.
drawback is no flash
advantages is everything is there in 6233.
