I think this phone would do ok if it had been released about 12 months earlier. The rounded edges make it look like an entry level Nokia and if someone wants to buy a 3G phone, who wants one which doesn't have a second camera for video calls. This phone doesn't really offer anything new to the market !

Andre, you're probably right it will rock in 2006, which is really a travesty - you say Nokia designers are steps ahead, and although I really like this design, don't you think it looks like the lovechild of a 6030 and a SonyEricsson? The rounded lines are swiped straight from the designers at SE, while the features offer nothing new or groundbreaking, so I'd say "steps ahead" is the very last thing in the world Nokia are. Although when it comes to announcing new phones and marketing them, Nokia really are light years ahead of the competition (with the possible exeption of Samsung).

This phone surely looks cool. As usual, Nokia always steps ahead in design. But is it necessary to include 3G considering this device doesn't have 2nd camera for video call? Will go like 6630 which have to buy separate desk top for video call. Anyway 3G not very successful according to market survey in Europe, Asia & U.S.A. But despite all, Nokia will rock 2006 with this phone!!!

i'll wait for the "i" version which i hope it will have wi-fi support and autofocus camera!
i think the E60 equipped with a 2mp af cam would be the best choice for pro use.

I think this phone is necessarily. Nokia 6233 offers high-end features of S40 for those who prefer candybar form and don't need 3G.
(Nokia 6234 is exclusively for Vodafone and 6282 for Americas.)

Well, another 3 phones from Nokia.....This is my favourite of the 3, excellent design and some good features, it'll probably not cost the earth either...but I've just been onto the main Nokia screen on GSMarena and counted 18 as yet unreleased phones, with some announced over 6 months ago...
Need I say more?
