i dont think they can make N-Series phones as slim as 6300i becuase N-Series have to much hardware to cram in their bodies e.g. Processors, Hardware, Graphics Cards, Carl Zeiss Lenses, Music Chips and so on...
Thats why most of the N-Series are on the Bulky Side and the rest of the other ranges are not
6233 is Fat becuase it has Stereo Speakers VGA Video and 3G they must take room..
i dont get this but i wonder how SE can do this..i mean the C902 For e.g. its slimmer then a 5310 and the C902 has a 5MP Cyber-Shot Style! and yet it produces good pictures like K850i does on the same level.
i dont think Nokia could do that with a N82 Style Camera into a 6300's Body...No they couldnt do that....

Hi. I was using sony ericsson K750i. It got damaged, it power IC not working and I cant switch on. I want to know how is 6233 when compared with K750. How is its video capture. Is the quality poor as it is said the video is of VGA. Please advise

I guess the concept behind all of these is that, Nokia wanted to offer varieties of its products. Say for example, the XpressMusic offers direct 3.5 mm jack and dedicated music controls but no Wi-Fi. This may be well explained by Nokia's new XpressMusic policy to offer dedicated music keys for the new XpressMusic phones, 3.5 mm jack, dedicated sound processor, longer music playback cycle, collaboration with JBL, Altec Lansing, Philips and etc., moderate price tags for XpressMusic phones. And as a moderately priced phone, then Wi-Fi is naturally not included (but that may somehow be turned into reality in the near future). And besides, in my own opinion, a Java phone with a poor web browser as the S40 browser doesn't really need Wi-Fi (just my opinion). But I do understand your point though that Nokia is limiting the capabilities of the Series 40 phones (no multitasking, not so comfortable gallery, poor built-in Nokia S40 browser and etc).
The only thing that remains as a mystery for me is that, why is it that Nokia can't really make a N Series phone with Wi-Fi that is as slim as the 6300i? But anyway, maybe that is a compromise for the N Series as Nokia, as you have said, is putting everything in its N Series.

hey....
after reading ur comments about the fone, i have decided to buy 6233. but i have come across with a strange problem in it. i was trying to make a video with 6233 but it showed me that i can make the video of 15 seconds only. my memory card was empty at that time...
wats the reason behind that?? does it offers the video of 15 seconds?? if not, then plz tell me the original time for making the video....

Bring it to a Nokia care center and they will adjust it back in its place.

i dont like that
i mean its not fair all the N-Series phones get all the features and the rest of theme are left with nothing special....
i mean Nokia should atleast put Wi-Fi and 3.5mm jack in their S40 Phones..but NO-kia wouldnt do that
i mean SE have put Wi-Fi in the C905 and thats a java phone but then SE's generally have a better UI
The thing is Nokia limit their S40 Phones becuase of their Symbian S60 Phones...which i wouldnt trust(S60 Phones)

ayaz, 21 Aug 2008then ofcourse the phone's price wont be the same.. plus wi-... moreok ayaz. keep the wi-fi. what about the rest. how it would be great if 6233 have those features. if nokia had a problem with prize range, why they cant make another mobile. like 6233 is low prize, and 6233classic is higher prize with features. i didnt see any perfect S40 phones still yet. ex: if sound is good the camera is bad. if the camera is good another thing goes bad. thats why i told, im waiting for a perfect S40.

I lost my fav... moreNokia 3120c is also a nice S40 phone. But it should be noted that the 3120c doesn't have stereo speakers and VGA resolution video recording capability that your 6233 have. But at least to give justice to the net reviews on the Nokia 3120 classic, I have read from the review of Mobilearsenal.com and on this site as well, that the 3120c has an above average loudspeaker volume and a remarkable battery life of 6 days of average duty (at least that's what the reviewer of GSMArena stated).
So if you only mean a "replacement" for your 6233, then probably the 3120c might do justice (save probably for the speakers and the video recording capability which is only peaking at CIF (352x288) resolution). Furthermore, you also get a better screen quality (16 Million colour screen), a secondary videocall camera, an updated S40 platform, a LED flash, a mini USB connector(if I'm not mistaken) and a standard 2.5 mm AV connector.

this phone is simply brilliant..
im using nokia for the first time and surely my experience is not bad..
one of the great features of this phone is that when you receive a file via bluetooth or infrared, the phone automatically saves it on memory (which is great as the phone's internal memory is only 6MB shared) and that you dont have to download games/apps by gprs or nokia pc suite (as in S40 2nd Ed) and you can receive (via bluetooth, usb or infrared) and install it directly ..
way to go nokia..

i dont know why nokia is unavailable to add extra good features to these S40 models. like 5MP camera, wi-fi, larger screens ,3.5 mm jack, saving SMS on memory card.
Hmm..... i dont know the reason. im still waiting for a perfect S40model, good than the 6233 to move on.

1st bar: 9
2nd bar: 4
3rd bar: 7
4th bar: 5
5th bar:7
if you fell good with these settings, let me know.

i need help , is there anymore phone very similar to this 6233 ? i mean, in the sense of the powerful loudspeaker audio it gives . my current 6233 is spoilt .. and i was thinkin of getting a new phone . i kinda feel like like buying 6233 again . bahaha ! shud i ?
