I have this phone for about a year and its stil going :):)
Although I do have the problem with the noise with the backlight! It comes and goes though!! I think this is a reliable phone, not the best looking on the market! My memory card slot is a bit faulty as well, its sellotaped now and recently im having trouble with the speakers but as I said it did last a year and the sound is quite good from it when the speakers were working. Overall I do like this phone and will hold onto it until christmas!

i have the same problem like Mymemes...in a very quiet place when de back light is on, i hear a very ennoyng sound. overall, the phone is great, too bad it has no secondary camera for video calls and you cannot minimize java appz

... its too late , but at the right time , a review can helps a lot of people . i'm sure some of you which see his describe will not realise his performance compared with any other phones

:)) nice comments .. compare this phone with other in market , at price and at performances ... yes ..it is a little ugly .. but is a very ..good phone . excepting soft errors .. common for this phone ;he is in our market since 2005 , and still resist and buyed from a lot of people . soo if your don't know what you're talking please shut up .

This phone is sooo awesome! Wow! But i just got two complaints. The short backlight duration and a horrible awful microphone. The short backlight doesn't really bother me much but the cheap mic is very disappointing :-( but an excellent phone nonetheless. Well done nokia!

To increase the battery time go to settings -phone- network mode and switch to GSM (if you don't need UMTS) and the battery life will increase up to 8 days. many complain about tot having video call, just turn the camera and this is it. The menu is great (and fast compared to Simbyan), video is great, camera is modest compared to other models but usable. A minus is the internal memory ,6 mb max but you can plug a 2 GB micro sd card

It doesn't have Symbian; it's extremely loud...And YES, it does have video recording capabilities, in 640x480 !

This phone is simply great. There is only one thing: In a very quiet place, i can hear strange sounds coming out of the screen when the back lite is on. sounds like a whistle:) it is really quiet, but it drives me crazy.
Did anybody else noticed that same problem?

nice phone....can't adjust backlight and goes off after about 10 seconds...pain in the butt! video calling works fine..if mirror handy like in bathroom/bedroom then you point camera at mirror and acts like 2 camera phone. connectivity is good like bluetooth, infra-red, usb. added music from cd off pc and pc suite from wife's e65 phone's software.

nope the phone does not come with a cable. i'm looking 4 one now coz my laptop doesnt have bluetooth!

Hey BONKER. nokia 6234 dnt kum up wit da USB cable, u only get da CD. U gatta buy da cable yrslf. And hey 2 u BRADLEY,IZ dat a 1st hand fone or 2nd hand? It soundz 2nd. Bt u can stil get those gamez back 4 free at sum otha sitez. Im using nokia 6234...it givin me problmz im reli luving it! Even tho i hav 2 make video callz via a mirror coz it gat 1 camera.
