This is the nokia slider phone i've been waiting for. Specs indeed are quite heavy weight & within my expectation. Series 40 although is simple & easy-to-use, i think it is much faster compared to series 60. Hopefully it will be release before March this year... :)

i dont think that S40 phones are slower than S60 because they have to boot less of the programs inside the phone for start up and all....although if you talk in terms of multi tasking then only S60 are better. Otherwise for simple calling, music, and games....S40 is what u need. They have lesser problems as compared to S60 phones.

it doesnt seem like the phone is cancelled, but its highly unlikely that it will be released in north america soon....
can anyone give a clearer explanation of the google maps thing? do you have to be hooked up to the internet to be able to use the GPS? or are the maps just downloaded into the phone and can be used from there?

Looks & Specifications are appealing but can only be justified after knowing the price and performance of the device. Anyway I am looking forward for the release...

go to NOKIA/press there n see a device called 6700Classic
1st time see you will think it just a basic simple phone , but turn to the back, there is a 5MP camera without carzl zeiss optic/tessar lens =_=

S40 phones will not have a good lagging-less HTML browser either. Being a nokia fan I suggest to go for N85, N79

I strongly suggest not to go for an S40 phone. It doesn,t have (m)any good applications and particularly this phone which is having a different resolution is not going to have apps. Next thing is S40 phones are slower, I can't name an S40 phone which is very responsive

i think you have iphone so you talk like that ,,but there are a lot of people with them iphone and didn't like it ,,it doesn't mean that i like this one because no one know about 6260 very well it's a new phone ,,and also everybody can post them opinion here ,i can post what i want.i don't care about you.you have to compare between phones before you talk first.
