nice!! finally an upgraded s40 phone!!! love s40 phone for being simple and cosumes ess batteries compared to s60.

Anonymous, 07 Dec 2008in response to the individual who wants nokia to produce an... moreactually,it's more about the size of the CCD,the bigger the better,AND the quality of the lens.no need to be a tech nerd,look at the most expensive cams and most sought after by pros,the SLR,the cam body is huge and lenses can go up to 10 times the body cam size and up to 50 times the price.So cram a little of everything in a small package like a phone and you'll only get average pics,which i don't mind,as long as the screen of that phone is superb enough to enjoy them.

evana, 03 Dec 2008does it waste battery when using Wi-Fi / taking photo with ... moreS60 offers you a more programmable platform to work with as opposed to S40 which is more personolizable, my god,beautiful words.S60 offers you to run dif apps together while you can't have that with S40 and that's a pain.I've had the 2 platforms and i can't say i've found enough really good programs to boast about to prefer an S60 over an S40.While the S40 is a treat for wallpapers for instance,just chose the pic and voila,you have it full screen,while with the S60 you need to pass the pic through a theme making process,and if you chose an animation for wallpaper,know that the top and bottom of that pic won't move at all.So to conclude,i'm quite interested in this new S40 because so far,S40 has been for girls and S60 for guys.Is this a sexist comment ? no,girls tend to still want plain and simple phones with particularly good looks but leave their phone rarely in the open,while guys go crazy about what they can do with their new piece of tech.

the truth is, the quality of the 5mp photos from nokia devices such as the n95 and n82 is better than those taken with the 8mp cams that samsung has released. remember,the number of mp dictates the size of the photo, and although this may mean slight improvement in quality due to more pixels, quality is mostly derived from proper settings and photo processing.

evana, 03 Dec 2008does it waste battery when using Wi-Fi / taking photo with ... moreThere is no way to get around battery loss through the use of WiFi or GPS. Also, S60 is the Symbian smartphone OS on most N-series phones. The S40 is the simpler Nokia OS like on the 6300 etc..

me consumer !, 01 Dec 2008shame for nokia caz other brands are introducing 8MP and no... moreHey consumer. camera on phones are just for random shooting and 5mp is enough for a full A4 size photo print. if you want high resolution cams for Professional photography. just get a Canon Digital IXUS. how unprofessional if one uses their mobile for pro photography. remember a phone is a phone not a DSLR Camera.

shame for nokia caz other brands are introducing 8MP and nokia has a new set again 5MP but s40!!
nokia is just trying to confuse consumers.how ever i like nokia and using n82 but n79.n85. and this model has worse camera quality.nokia wont go ahead too much by S60 and N series caz these days people prefer real mobile phones with greater camera pixel and really new design and novalties.samsung and lg and sony might have a better chance since they are producing digital cameras . pcs and ... nokia cant trust just on S60 and programs any more. android and .. make nokia focus on other parts. thats why nokia is again trying hard to sell and produce low end sets.and u can see bunch of nokia mobiles available in the market or introducing just too keep the market.
nokia try to fight just by technology and fair.dont confuse us any more.mobile is not any more a S60 or S40

s40 nowadays very similar to s60
this phone n 7610s,7510s,6600s,6600f,3600s can play WMV,
ask you, got any java phone in the market can play WMV???
for XP/Vista user, just use the window movie maker can convert the video to WMV
by the way, this phone also internal a FLASH LITE V3, can surf youtube directly not youtube mobile
