First you need to have the USB cable that connects ur phone with the computer, then u've to download the NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER from nokia website. I don't know if GSMARENA allows this but here's the link to download the updater
http://nds1.nokia.com/files/support/global/phones/software/NokiaSoftwareUpdaterSetup_en.exe
After downloading and installing the program, connect ur phone with the computer ... start the program ... and it'll give u the instructions that u need to follow.
Unfortunately the phone doesn't support .sis files even if it's up-to-date.
a VIP note: just in case ... backup everything u have on ur phone ... even the contacts numbers.
Some themes change the tones that u chose, so it's better to use the original nokia themes or download them from good websites like ownskin or zedge, u can also download any .nth themes for other phones like 5610 xpressmusic and use them for ur 6260 slide.

hi everybody ...
I've recently purchased the Nokia 6260 Slide mobile, but there's this problem that keep annoying me!
Each time I change the ringtone and the message alert tone, the mobile automatically changes them to the original ones. I've tried some ways that I thought will work like making my own profile, and transferring the tones I want from the memory card to the phone memory ... but all this didn't help =(
If anyone faced the same problem and has an answer ... plz help

i've this phone.
most functions are ok.
but it's camera zoom can be available only 2 steps.
it's not good.
and it's camera quality is not as good as N-series even they are the same type of camera.
