The features are great, but its outlook is extremely ugly, what I mean is that, the style of this phone is outdated compare with other slide phones, how comes Nokia design the phones with so much 90°angles that makes it exactly like a bar of chocolate??
I would consider Nokia's slide phones only when it improves the design... d^.^b

The standard package contains a 128mb SD but, as you can read in many threads, some phones are comin' out with 512mb SD. I don't know if it's a promo pack or a different package.
Symbian allows you to install "third party applications", so programs created by other manifacturers or software houses. Only with a Symbian phone you can do this.

you can use 1 gb minisd cars with it, some packages are comming with a 512mb card, i dunno if that true because GSMarena said it was 128mb

This phone is really great! Feels good when I hold it and because of it's weight it feels like there is something in my hand. Ok, it is a personal thing but I don't like those lightweight phones that can "fly away from my hands". :-) The screen, the camera are superb and the sound is clear and loud but missing the bass, but well what do you expect from those tiny speakers. There are only small things that disturb me. I cannot fast forward the 3gp videos, hopefuly a new firmware will correct that. I uploaded the new sony ad Bravia encoded to 3gp using quicktime and if I set really high bitrates the playback stops for frames. I guess the CPU simply cannot process that much data simple as that. Ok, it was 160kbp for the video and stereo 128 music, way too much for a handset like this. Then I tried to lower the audio bitrate and things got better. Then I switched back to the speech codec in quicktime and the problem was almost solved. This proves that only the CPU was overloaded. But, with a 192 video bitrate the picture was clear and even the bounching colorful balls were clear and bright, I couldn't belive it! Oh one more thing, even though the screen is 320x240 I coudn't get the phone to play QVGA(320x240) videos to play. The phone supports H.263 and mp4 but not H.264.
Other than that, I can only recommend this phone! Other users, can you recommend me 3gp settings?

Yes it has bass in mp3 sound, but the bass can be appreciated when you use the handsfree. :) N6270 is a Series40 phone. I've got mine with brown color.

Only available in Brown color initially. Read on eBay from a retailer in Taiwan that the silver color will be released on December 20th. I just ordered mine. Should have it in a few days. Wanted silver, but will settle with brown...little bummed.
Got tired with the poor selection of phones by US mobile providers, so I decided to take the plunge of buying an expensive phone. Excited about this new Nokia.

By the way, you cannot change the cover as it is fixed into position (at least mine is). I don't know if it plays real video. There is no bass setting per se but there are seven different settings on the equalizer.

Does anyone know what the internet configuration settings need to be for this phone (my carrier is Cingular in the US)? No one, including Cingular, can tell me what settings I need for internet connection.

It costs only rp.3.900.000,-[us$375]in Jakarta/Indonesia and the sales package contains headset+battery, handsfree, charger, minisd 512mb,pc suite cd software&data cable. it's very good price for this nokia 6270, maybe coz it's not symbian platform. surely i'll buy it today.

And bye the way, I seems that I am getting this on for christmas. But here in Finland there seems to be only the brown version available. So does anybody know if its possible to change covers in the future?
