i read in nokia.com that 6270 is planned to be available in the 4th quarter of 2005

6270 is going to be released in the 4th quarter.
i bet even before it reaches 4th quarter, nokia is going to introduce more new models.

it's obvious, i'll get it the day it'll be launched, it's the coolest phone ever, better design thant W800, and it has the same cool features, maybe cooler

The size is of closed phone.
The screen resolution is HUGE, so sliding up phone should add aditional 4-5cm :)

The polyphonic has changed from 24 to 64 channels. I just noticed that, nice feature.

Is the size of the phone that's mentioned on the specs the size when it's opened or closed? I'm confused as to which it's being applied to.

All I have to say I waited about 2 years for a phone like this. All the quadband motos I had were replaced a few times. I had to get 2 phones, one Europe and one USA since of roaming in both areas. Now I can just get one phone that has all the features I want... Can't wait for it to come. I know I might have to shell out about 400 bucks in the USA but is all worth it...

NOKIA has gone completely mad...... its really insane to announce new models when ...many other handsets r still to come in market... its silly.. n by the way this fone wud come by year end or next year...so who wann buy fone now can just wait for this fone... n then wait for another fone dat will b announced when itll come in market... in other words just wait n wait n wait n once more wait for new celfone... baba boo boo... man im goin insane

NOKIA ARE the original phone maker with all the features mentioned on each phone and more the samsung d500 on the box categorically states_ mp3/aac player and aac is 'unsupported format'- nokia are the merc of phone world - samsung are vauxhall?

The 230/3220/7260/70/80 are series 40 and support themes- if u want symbian with huge screen get one of the ones especially N90((The slide phone was brought in by siemens - the SL10 i think and nokia rejuvenated that style with the 8850/90,8910(i) and the ever popular 7650- urging on the sl55 and these samsungs. I Wonder if FORD started suing other companys for making HATCHBACKS and called it copying .... by heck

the keypads look comfortable enough for a slide design.
2 MP camera with flash.
radio & stereo speakers.
i can live with 24 polyphonic.
it still has infrared, therefore i can transfer data from my 6510.
no symbian? no problem.
i don't need it.
interesting specs!
although sometimes the specs are not accurate, but i hope this time the mp3 is stereo also.
i'm holding on to 3230 till this phone is launched.
hopefully 6270 has time profile, since my 3230 doesn't have one.

after compare with samsung d600 ,only nokia have edge advantage, the samsung wins,
