was the best phone i ever bought till i droped it off my bedside table, the front of the housing has fallen off.... shows the cheap quaility, now my memory card does not want to click into place anymore, im very dissapointed, this is the last nokia i will ever buy, always cheap quaility when u deal with nokia.

wait I dont get it. So if you were to tilt the phone downward, the screen would slide out? does it have a locking mechanism? Or is it just loose when its being slid?

got this phone for about four months now. the slide up design really sucks because after a while it gets a bit wobly and clunky. like there's a loose screw or something. the plating on the 4 way nav keys kind of chipped off too. that's why i don't like nokia phones. but the features on this phone are really cool and the wallpaper covers the entire screen.

Does anyone know how to download music?? I got the software set up but I can't transfer any songs. Nokia USA support won't help me.

well this is a wonderful handset i have ever seen in my life design is good everything is ok but one features which i have'nt seen in this handset that is operating system is not available there and this is the only reason
y people are not going through with this handset

hi every one....i bought nokia 6270 recently....and i was confused between sony W*** and nokia 6270 but i choose nokia cuz the screen is better and wider and the sound is perfect but the volume is not high and the slide thing is lose a lil and i thing it will go looser with time....

Hi.....!!! I have been using this phone from 3 months or so, there is no problem at all. THe only thing i want to know is from where can i get some good themes, softwares and games......!! If some one could help with the same it would be great.

Just had a look at it ... heres my opinion
Good points
Brilliant Screen, Sound thru external speakers is awesome, Design is sleek, Phones User Interface is lovely too.
Bad Points
Sound thru earphones, ne SE can beat it in this deptt. even the old s700 let alone the W series.
Camera lens is not protected.
Construction quality is worst i saw in a slide phone..the slider gets loose very quickly .. infact it was already loose out of the box. it feels really really bad.
it has a good outdoors, and an average indoors camera.

Hey all....realy love this fone....just wanted to know if u can download applications like real player n all...i know this is a S40 fone...but frankly dont know the difference between S40 n S60....used a sony erricson till now :).....please let me know...thanx a million.

Bought this phone about a week back. It's a descent pick. Been looking for this phone for almost 3 months, finally got my hands on it.
Plus points -
1. Good asthetics
2. Awesome screen
3. Great keypad
4. Good mp3,etc playback
5. Descent quality pictures
6. Easily accessable memory card
7. Good connectivity options
8. Good speakers
9. Customization options are good
Drawbacks -
1. Pathetic video recording/playback
2. Poor battery life
3. Series 40 phone, so not many applications
4. No standard headphones jack, so have to do with the Nokia headset only.
5. Sliding mechanism not robust
Nokia produced a real stunner, but I wish they had packed in more punch in this model.
Well, I think that it's quite worth of it's cost at the moment.

I have been using nokia 6270 for about 4 months i would say i loved the phone when i bought it but it has it defects
1:)The camera is not good as compared to other 2mp phones its poor when compared to n70 or 6280
2:)Its not symbian
3:)The videos or music videos which you want to see on your mobile are out of sync that is the sound or song will be over and the video will still be going on for another minute or a two(i m not joking its true google for it to find out)
I would prefer N70 over this phone and if u want a slider stylish phone than go for 6280 it has better video recording and video playback plus changeable covers

this phone is very good better than sony ericsson WXXX.the sound is very good using headphone HS-3 and the speaker phone is very 3d effect good job for nokia,the camera is excelent outdoor and indoor is same good.

hi i bought a 6270 recently...phone is awesome.but the only thing which worries me is tht the sliding mechanism on the phone for the keypad goes loose.can anyone say is it normal for these sliding phones.....or is it a drawback for this model of phone

the handset is ausume, i just picked it up a couple of days ago. i just need to know how do i get real player installed or any other software which would also play rm files. Sound and pics are great.

I was wondering whether to buy an N70 or 6270, Finally I came up with 6270 which was 120$ cheaper! It reallly worthes. It's a full Media organizer, Stylish, handy and I strongly suggest it to everyone.

hey chetan.. dun hestitate.. go ahead wid the phone.. no prob wid bluetoothing at all... no prob wid mp3s.. no prob transferrin via usb.. speeds pretty gud.. the phones got excellent stereo output.. got awesome headplugs.. better than my ipod atleast.. the phones got amazin camera quality.. gotta flash too.. phone itself luks sleek.. its awesome.. in all a 9/10!!

hey, may i know is this phone support the flight mode? i read a specification (from other website) of this phone stated have a flight mode. so what kind of software or program can run when the flight mode is swicth on?

well the phone is not for the present generation......it looks lik a demo phone,with which the kids play....its sound is also not good....2 megapixel camera...its not needed i think and by the other phones with lesser pixel gives better resolution.

I am really interested in buying Nokia 6270 Mobile But have a few doubts about it .
1) How is the battery life
2) Does bluetooth works fine.I have heard of many problems while transferring of files(Mp3 etc.) using bluetooth
3) Will the sliding pose any problem in the future.I hope it doesn't
