Yes, I think it´s better than the 6280. I read the review and I consider my pics better than the sample ones provided there.
They also said that the sound quality was poor in the 6280. And it definitely isn´t bad in the 6270...

To almost everyone about firmware 03.66...
My phone used to have the restart problem (which appeared suddenly after 3 weeks ok use). I sent my phone to service and when it came back the firmware was upgraded to 03.66. I have been using it for almost a week and I haven´t noticed any bugs or other weird stuff. Nothing... NOTHING! So it seems that the new firmware is very stable...
I don´t know if you can upgrade online... As I said, mine was in service when they fixed it.

Does the phone make a sound when u press the camera shutter button (when taking pictures) and can that be changed to a different sound or turned off?

THE 03.66 FIRMWARE UPGRADE. 1) Wil this enable doing away with the descending ringtones ? 2) Will it eliminate blank messages ? 3) Will it enable enlaring fotns ? Is there any website where this upgraded firmware could be accessed ?

Will a firmware upgrade solve the ringtone crescendo problem? I love this phone but the quiet ringtone is really bugging me... anyone?

Just compare the two cell phones specifications here at the site.
As you will see, they are very identical, the only diferences are:
*6270 has a bigger internal memory (9Mb against 6280's 6Mb)
*6270 records video with QCIF resolution while 6280 records with an higher reolution (VGA)

No, this phone doesn´t have VGA-video shooting. It has got the normal QCIF. But it seems that the main camera and the music player are better on this one.

I use the max resolution and image quality when using the camera. The images can become very sharp if you have enough light and that you keep your hand VERY steady when taking the picture. That´s how I do and the images are very nice when checking on the PC.
To find out your firmware type *#0000# and you should see it. When my phone came from firmware reseting it now has the firmware version 03.66. Not a single error so far...
What comes to software and free MP3-download, I can´t help you.

Is it possible to load s60 OS on 6270?
