                Jo,

thank you for your valuable information. I am leaning toward the 6270 although I have been a SonyEricsson fanatic. But the 6270 is more professional than the W550i for a male I guess.

Has anyone tried an SD larger than 512MB? Why should 1GB not work? They are quite cheap now so I am thinking of buying a 1GB miniSD for the 6270. Will this work ok? Has anyone tried it?

                Thanx

Everything is great in this phone but only one problem i am facing within 7 days of purchase - thats regular battery life !!! toooo small . Everyday at evening the battery goes off . I am thinking to have a separate battery with me as a stepny !!! Nokia shud have a special battery to drive a big TFT Screen , mp3 ...... A great fault from nokia .

                          for AT
if you connect the usb cable the nokia 6270 will appear as a mass storage in your pc.
and yes you can drag and drop files directly into the card
and YES you can use the mp3 as ringtone whereever is saved, and its loud thx to it stereo speakers!

                              Hello gurus,

I am between SE W550i and NOKIA 6270 and need your help and advice very urgently.

If I connect the phone to my laptop via cable or infrared, can I see the memory card as a 'removable disk'? And if yes, can I just drag and drop mp3s, pics, etc. into a folder in card, therefore bypassing the internal phone memory? (I hope yes)

And if I have an mp3 file on the SD card, can I use this mp3 as an alarm sound, or as a ringtone?

Looking forward to your replies. Thanx in advance. :-)

                                Hello Fred
Can you summarize all negatative features of N6270 i.e You cannot transfer big files thru Bluetooth directly to Memory Card,Battery Life as compared to W800i/W550i,quality of MP3 Player,No Symbian OS v/s Series 40 and finally which is better SE W800i/W550i/N6270
                                Thanks

like i said i had this phone 2 weeks after the release date of it. U can save picture directly to de memory card u just have to change the default folder(it's easy). The 6270 doesn't have a big problem regarding the memory since u can save everything on the memory card(msic also). But u cant transfer file via bluetooth directly to the memory card Which is a major flaw cause the intern memory of the 6270 is like 9 mb minus all the copyright program, there's only like 5 mb left. which means u cant transfer more than 5mb(n this is if u have nothing else except the coypright shits). but that's the only flaw of it.
some issue due to the fabric: some people say it kind of "cheap made", like it feels like there nothing very solid in. As for me what i think is that the phone is made to be not to heavy, plus it is a solid phone, it's all metal surrounding it. they say it's made cheap because the sliding system is less smooth than the d600. but doesn'T mean it's not good, i love how it slide, it slides as quick as the 8800(nokia silver slider), i guess it depend. n remember it's a s40 not a s60, so if your looking for a smartphone with plenty of option huhuhh.
conclusion, i dont like the d600, the 6270 is manhood. well built, not heavy, n gives u style, by the way the camera is good in his way.( i've compare wit the k750), speaker is great, plus vibration following the beat of the music!!!! more kestion just ask, i know everything!!!!!

To all Nokia 6270 users in the U.S.

I bought my phone on ebay and I was told by Nokia-U.S. tech support that the warranty is invalid since the phone is not made to be used in the U.S.

My camera says it's unable to save pictures for some and the memory insn't full....has anybody experience this problem with this phone?
