with regard to wat coco have mention...i think it's true, dragos, FYI i have tried sending a 18mb mtv video(MPEG4) to SE k750i and from SE 750i back to nokia 6280...perfectly alrite...it doesn't seem to be affected by the limited internal memory as e 18mb file is being saved into the memory card, my software version is 3.65, holding a 1GB kingston mini SD card and i'm really glad this has happen!! haha...will be trying even bigger files!!!

Hi Pathetic,it true that N70 has latest symbian but cannot catch up with 6280 agility and not even close to low quality pda speed. Fact no 05.

I have chosen the 6280 over the N70 as I have found after trying 3 different n70s they are just too slow, but this might be the case with all smart phones. Even takes a long take to do simple things. Its a bit like a slow computer with loads of software (loads of features but slow for everything). I prefer to have a phone that looks and feels good, does a few less things but does them really well. If you've got loads of time and wont get impatient waiting for your txt msgs to load, go for the n70.

Got it! Noticed that are some small difrences bettwen mine and another one taken from vodafone.I have it from greece unblocked and a friend of mine has some features lesS -nokia soft stuff-.Both phones are quite new, it's vodafone fault or the firmware, coz mine is 3.65 and the other one is 3.60. Black one is nicer!

hey people..i've been reading all theze comments from a long time...and now plzz dont compare N70 with 6280..plzz...let me giv ya the reasons..

1)N70 is much better in shape and design.
                              2)N70 has 20X zoom and 6280 has 8X zoom
3)N70 has a five way scroll key and 6280 has 4 way..
                              5)N70 has special OS (symbian 8.1a) and 6280 doesn't
6)N70 is the latest Serie 60 mobile and 6280 is an old serie 40 mobile.
7)N70 has a facility to print images straight from the mobile and 6280 doesn't.
8)N70 has voice commands option and 6280 doesn't
                              9)N70 has a built in dictionary and 6280 doesn't
10)N70 can hav anytype of video call and 6280 has only secondary video calls
11)N70 has two cameras 1 in front and 1 at the back and 6280 has only 1 on the back.
12)and now you can use N70's front camera as a web cam too and 6280 wont get this option till the end.
13)you hav got too much from the internet to download for N70 but for 6280 there are only few useful things..
14)the only thing which 6280 has and N70 doen't has is INFRARED..and theze dayz bluetooth is rocking the world..no one uses infrared :P

So people plzz dont compare N70 with 6280 coz theres a hell of a difference between theze both mobiles..!I've used both mobiles and theze days i hav N70 ..N70 rockxxx..and now use your common sense which one you need to buy!!

my firmware is 3.60 and can transfer file over 20mb via bluetooth and infrared...
no problem as it automaticallly saves it to the memory card...

Yo... I got this phone about 3 weeks ago on the $29 cap with Three, and I'd recommend it everyone who likes the looks of it. I'm tech savy, multimedia guru and very picky about what products I use. The Nokia 6280 has so many features and it operates well. The software provided works well (though some features could’ve been developed a bit better) in general, its great. Walking into the study and having my phone automatically connect to my PC via Bluetooth blew me away. Video playback is brilliant, (I encode my own files and play them back on the phone… fullscreen video playback is awesome!) FM radio is very cool (Tune into my fav station and put it on loudspeaker) and music playback is amazing, considering the fact its a phone… the sound quality is really good, EQ works well (I can’t believe the base and treble work, sounds like it SHOULD! I’ve even stopped using my iPod for now, just because it sounds just as good. Battery life is great, using the phone full on, making calls frequently, having bluetooth turned on and used regularly and on Planet3 for nearly the whole day the phone lasted about 18 hours, but if used lightly lasts about 4 days great. I’ve also purchased a 1GB MiniSD card, and it works awesome. I’ve got hours of encoded video on the phone that I can playback at anytime… think of it as a portable media centre on steroids :-P

The messaging in the phone works great… my fav feature is the push-to-talk button... doesn’t work on the Three network, but instead prepares a voice message MMS... you’re allowed to record a message as long as 3 mins and 5 seconds… MMSing to other three people only costs 25c, so I’m loving it… I can say more in a voice MMS than a SMS, its easier and costs the same. To other network users it’s 75c, but even at that rate its great value.

Only complaints- the phone sometimes crashes and restarts itself, though this issue is known by Nokia… Three informs me that Nokia plans to have it fixed in the next week or two, a free upgrade at the Nokia stores. Also the phone sliding is a little bit loose compared to when I got it, but it hasn’t got too bad, and three informs me it’ll be fine. I purchased a phone case (as much as I dislike them) and found it to be really great, protects the phone from scratches, drops (really well too…) and the sliding screen.

Go into a store and ask to try it. If you like it, do your homework on plans, pick one that suits you and get the phone. You won’t look back.
