hi i was thinking about up grading my phone to the nokia 6280 but i have heard so much bad stuff about this and now im wondering weather or not to get it. should i???

halo guys .
i went yesterday to nokia centre to update my software , but strange thing has happened ,
when i switch my mobile on i recieve messege " restricted phone " then " enter regestration code " so , what can i do for this problem .........

which 1 is better 6280 and n70? 1 is smart phone 1 isnt~ but 6280 is a new phone but n70 already released quite long ago~ any one can share their opinion for these 2 phones and make the decision which to choose better? thx a lot reli

I think the phone is crap.. Its already gone back to the insurance company 2 times in 2 months! keeps cutting out and the screen failed, also it rattles like hell. I dont recommend this phone. Sadly they wont let me exchange it for another one.

thanks for your comment! But I don't think it has anything to do with the bluetooth version, because i had a successfull data-transfer (mp3 file of 10 MB) with a D600 which also uses bluetooth version 1.2 and not 2.0
I haven't tried IR yet, why use IR when you have BT :-)
Do you have a hint where I can find my version of firmware my phone is using?

Joof , you can up date your software at a nokia centre :)
henk ... i really don`t know man .. there are a lot of incompatibilities between cell phone`s bluetooth ..
Probably because the 6280 is newer or .. i don`t know ..
Or because the 6280 has bluetooth V2.0 and the D500 V1.2 .. ( this mean the 6280 can connect at a phone via bluetooth at a larger distance then de D500.. and probably this causes some incompatibilites ..
Did you`ve triyed Infrared ? it does the same ?

A question to those who has got an upgraded FW 3.65 or higher.
Do you see time and date together with the message in your SMS-inbox?
Is this inbox handleling these messages in chronological order?
My FW 3.60 is NOT doing this! And all messages is without time and date!

Hi,
What firmware I have I do not know. How can I look that up??
When I received that MP3 larger than 10mb my phone did not attentioned me of where it would be saved. However it did save it on the external memory card.
So, you think this is probably a firmware elated problem?

The latest firmware version 3.70 is already out in USA.
Not sure is it available in asia.

What the hell can you do ? up grade the firmaware of course
Go to a nokia centre , and talk to them ;)

Its a miracle people..............just been on the orange website and they have released this phone praise the lord !! only trouble for me is its only available to new customers at the moment typical ornage !!

hay every one
i bought yesterday 6280 . and it's perfect display and resolution but i have a problem ... this is in my software
it's hanging and restart every 10 minute and hanging when i play mp3 and video .
plaaaaaaaaaaaaaese . i need your help guys
what can i do for this .

so is that a firmware issue? I mean do the phones with older firmware have that save in memory after the phone's internal memory has been used up?

When you`ve received the mp3 file larger then 10 MB what the phone did ? attentioned you that it will be saved in the card memory ?
