I strongly agree that you should change to other phones or ask for a complete replacement.
You can either refer back to where you bought the phone, normally the will ask you to top up some money on changing to other phone models.
If they don't entertain you, and you're buying from an authorized Nokia dealer, I would suggest you to write in a letter describe your problem as well as your demands, send it to Nokia autorized service centre & CC one copy to the phone shop.
By doing this, you'll get their attention, they have to solve your problem/entertain you, or else you can actually go for consumer court. They will loose for sure on this kind of case.
It is important to record everything in paper and hold sufficient proofs to get things right for you.
Remember, you have the RIGHTS !!

Hi Everyone!! i just want to ask how to set the default incoming applications be saved in the memory card rather than in the phones internal memory.

Juz wanna ask, how come my 6280 can sudd 'black out' huh?? i was lookin at gallery & it juz black out suddly... does any1 had tis prob w it???

Orange (uk) have now released the nokia N80 before this model!! unbelievable, what is going on? if the phone is that dodgy how come every other network has accepted it!? wouldnt be surprised if they didnt bother releasing it now and just push the N80

been playing with nokia series 40 theme studio to make my own themes..but it's on a 14 day trial only, too bad it cannot be extend, it's real;ly a great prog for making cool themes for ur 6280...keke

hi all,
i've been reading the posts and got tired of this restart and reset thing, i have to say im not a tech man but i kill the phone for as long as it takes untill i find a solution, the thing with the 6280 restarting has to do with the MMS delivery report, if u sent an MMS with the report set to ON,, when its delivered the report is supposed to come back to you,, and thats when the phone restarts automatically.
ok now i have the solution, all u need to do is:
1-to turn off the MMS report for in ur 6280.
2-remove the simcard and put it in an other mobile, clear all the reports and SMSs pending, better if the other phone was set for MMS, make sure that all the pending reports and SMSs are cleared( wait for 10 minutes and try callin and texting).
3-now return the simcard to the 6280 and enjoy the a restartless life!!
this is guaranteed to solve this issue cuz i've tried it on so many 6280 phones, but u will have to give up the MMS delivery reports.
i know that mobile phones arent supposed to behave this way,, but if u like it u'll have to deal with its malfunctions ;)
please get back to me if it does not work.

hey all, just got the nokia 6280 on '3', also have a Sony Ericsson w800i on Voda, can anyine tell me what the biggest memory card they've got running in their 6280? I have 2Gb in S/E atm but want the same for the 6280. Anyone got any ideas?
Also Where can u download the theme creator for the 6280?

can anyone help, my new 6280, doesn't have very good service on 02, and my other phone nokia also on 02 that i carry round at the same time has excellent service, can anyone advise if they have this problem! please help!

Very good phone that I ever had...I'm using BalckBerry 7100 from Airtel also this one...this is really cool and nice one. Good choice to go with.

Hi there!
i had the 6280 as a gift. been using it for the past week. i have upgraded the software to ver 3.65. but i still have some problems with it restarting. but it is not as frequent as before.
also does anyone have problems with charging the phone? i have charged it recently and it indicates its charging but after a while when i switch off the power of the charger, the phone has not been charged! and it feels hot.
i have to switch it off and turn on the charger again and its charging properly.
encountered this twice.... not sure if anyone has the same problem?

Firstly im sad that most user take their 6280 as some solid brick. One cracked the screen and start wondering if its too thin a screen and ask if any1 faced this problem before. For this kind of people,i just have one word for it: ignorance. Its your fault for placing the phone insensitvely causing unnecesary distress to yourself!
2nd type of ignorance: Start asking unlogical qtns after purchasing the 6280, y did u bought it first before reading the Specs & features of this phone on medias like nokia web sites,forums? when things go wrong, surprisingly you know where to put your feedback!
3rd type of ignorance: You expect your phone to be a washing machine,use n use until it spoilt and then buy a new one. Who the hell in the world would wanna send the mashing machine for software upgrades? Only phone yes becos like humans,its not perfect. Software upgrades is the best means to make sure that it can be improve
on whats its shortfalls are.
Sighs..yu expect phones to be high end & sofphisticated but look at urself are you up to the phones standard? Think again ladies & gentlemen..just look at the "low end" kind of qtns you have been asking..

Let me repeat. I own both 6280 & SE K750i.
If ur priority is 2 take excellent foto, then 4get abt nokia's 2mp camera, coz it sux. Instead, u shld either get nokia's 3mp camera series or any SE model wif 2mp camera.
In consolation, it has been reviewed tat 6280 take very good video compared 2 the K750i. Though personally i've not used both fones 2 take similar video 4 comparison.
Like i said b4, there's nothing wrong wif 6280's slider; it is meant 2 b not 2 loose & not 2 tight.
I've tried transfering files via bluetooth & infrared, to-and-fro from my PC, notebook, K750i, & i've not encountered any prob.
FYI my 6280 is still on firmware 3.60 bought in Singapore.
The main prob abt 6280 is, the moment u bought it u gotta send straight 2 the service centre 4 upgrading 2 version 3.65. Bcoz version 3.60 got bug; ur 6280 will auto-shutdown then restart.
This only prove tat Nokia didn't extensively test the 6280 b4 releasing it 2 the public 4 sale, which many users r very disappointed.
Previously i've had few other nokia fones too. All also encountered same prob; auto-shutdown, similarly gotta send 4 firmware upgrade.
On the other hand, the 6280's 'Organiser' is simply excellent! Not 4getting it's user-friendly interface, large fonts 4 text msging, large crystal clear screen, large keypads. These r the reasons y i hv my K750i as 'reserve' fone.

Hi all,
The saddest thing about my phone is send to nokia for firmware update...why? cos my screen black out only can see battery indicator....so i thought everything should be fine abt the upgrade...then
it cannot read my mp4, 3gp videos....which is few days after the upgrade...and finally a week went by....
my phone today, the go to button just wouldn't work and is getting laggy...damn....
tell me whats wrong?
thinking of going all the way back to nokia care centre AGAIN, wasting my time and money(transportation). thought of changing it to n80 at nokia shop....is it possible? anyone can advise?

and also you can use your nokia 6280 as a webcam,remote control for tv and other... ,mc's Word aplication ,photo editor etc. just keep looking for softwares ;)
