i just buy 6280 and using in united stated, but the reception is very weak, anybody can tell me why and what can i do??

hey guys i was wandering r any nokia stores available to fix the slide mecanism if it loosens up during time and usage?
and this phone is the best i have found no problems or defects so this phone is the best phone ive seen out in w.a

i've had this phone for about two weeks, on 3, in aus,
and i think it's great. i've had it on charge twice ( no lies)
and in the mean-time i've had bluetooth on, been sending messages, listening to music for more that two hours a day, making phone calls, playing games etc. So for me the battery life is good.
The one thing that IS annoying me is that i cant find any decent themes to download for free. I'm on a mac, so i can't use the phone studio software, which means i can't make my own.
anyone help???

Well, u cannot plzy wave files on this phone, but instead, u can convert the wave file into mp3, which is the same quality and smaller in size... Cheers

i have to charge this phone every day i send about 70 texts a day. this is the most rubbish phone i have ever had, should of stuck with sony ericicson.

the n80 has beaten the 6280 to the orange shops. as a new customer i could have one now for £25 or so plus £25 a month contract. as someone whos last bill was nearly £50 and have been with orange since the start i was told "no you cant have one for at least 6 weeks and even then it will be a £250 upgrade fee"

at e left bottom of the phone, somewhere around the miniSD slot there, u have to put your neckstrap thru the hope but at e same time u gotta open up ur back casing as well, go thru the hole n look at e back there's a hook there, make sure u hook it tight and close e battery cover lo...
i used to experienced quite a number of phone restart when i was @ version 3.60 but after upgrading to version 3.65, not a single restart at all for the past 2 weeks...hee...sometimes phone restarts bcuz e files u put in as well la...

one of the possibilities your phone's experiencing no network might be the simcard your using, if ur using a 2G sim card like me in a 3G nokia 6280, do note u have to set the network to GSM mode instead of the DUAL mode, if u dun have a 3G simcard, the phone can't possibly search for one and that's y it shows no reception at many times... if not, ur phone might be spoiled, hee...

Listen people (for New Users to Nokia 6280)
The screen will go blank if u dont use da phone for 5mins....
Network will go up n down coz der no reception available in ur house or area.
Phone will restart get it flashed or buy a Nokia 6280 with the latest flash file v3.70

Reall nice looking phone indeed. After half an hour screen went black and it could only boot halfway. Switched it at the phoneshop for a new. This one did OK for 2 weeks, but the day before yesterday it was the same story again. Switched it now for a Samsung D800.

i've had this phone for a month now and im selling it and getting the n80 soon because its a much better phone and now it keeps telling me no coverage area whenever i try to phone someone so i cant and if someone calls it tells them that the phone is switched off even though its switched on like wtf!!

the phone looks really smart and i was really looking forward to getting it, but ive only had it 3 days and its turned itself and wont swith back on... i heared the phone keeps rebooting itself.. has anyone else had this happen?

i kept seeing software version 3.7 but i was oltd by nokia service centre e latest was 3.65 so far about 2 weeks back, a newer 3.7 is already in use liao??

Why unknown ? because of NOKIA 6280 !! that`s why
My first 6280 broken in the first 24 hours ( from were 13 was at recharge) and the second broken after 5 days :|
And now , when i`ve comed from the warranty , they`ve told me it will last about 1 month to come back ~X( ~X( NOKIA & VEGASTEL(the dealer from were i`ve buyed the phone) SUCKS

since yesterday my phone keeps telling me no network coverage and i cant call anyone and when someone calls me they say the phone is switched off even though its on can someone tell me wwhy plz?

i'm from romania too,and i'm looking forward to by phone,can i have youre mess id or phone number.Now i've got an 6680 and se w900i and i like this 6280 to much allthough is not that good but the design and looks of this one are "killing" me.Do you think that should i get it,in terms that i already got those previosly reminded phones? If yes can we met to upgrade the software,it should be more bugless :)
