emailed orange (again) yesterday and just got a reply saying that the handset is 'still under review' dont know what to make of it they obviosult have serious doubts about it and the reviews on here are very mixed! maybe the N80 would be a better bet as it will be out soon?

this phone has a major problem.. Sometimes, it gets restarted itself and there were times where u can't call out.. regretted getting this phone..

Hi all.
My computer is running on Windows ME. But the PC suite is only compatible 4 Win2000 or WinXP.
Anybody able 2 advice any alternative? How am i gonna transfer files between my PC & fone since i can't install the PC suite?

reading about all the complaints the nokia 6280 has, the main one was the battery. I think Nokia should maufacture and bring out a longer lasting battery which will not drain as fast as the orignal one.Im charging my Nokia 6280 every 2 days because of the battery.

The front camera only work when on video calls but not taking your own picture.
The battery was disappointing, checked with nokia shop that they are selling at S$88. Shocking expensive and I think it make in China but why so expensive, my Toyota car battery for a new one and 1.5 to 2yrs also doesn't cost so much. At S$88, who will buy?
No choice bought the nokia car charger instead at S$20, afterall can be use for N80 later on.
I bought a 1GB mini sd and the phone work without any hanged. I think it's ok to buy the mini sd as it can be use for N80 later.
I think the best of this 6280 is the VGA video 640 X 480. Very sharp video and comparable to digital camera video quality but it used up the memory very fast.
Unfortunately it has only one side speaker that the music not so good. I think music sony ericsson rule but user friendly nokia rule.

i got a realy good question DOES THE CAMERA on the FRONT work???? cause i can;t switch it on .... i didnt try to video call someone.. yet .. PLEASE if you know what's the deal with it .. answer.. 10x a lot .

i'm planning to buy nokia 6280 in less than 3 weeks time, i'm actually looking at e camera & video clarity, worried it will give those very 'box' feelings when taking pictures or video therefore i'll need u guys to share with more on this, especially users in singapore, thanks man...

i tested the 6280, i left the video recording on ,it went past an hour, i thought it only did up to an hour.
i got a 512mb card
the phone was full power, when it did 1hr 6min recording in cif reso the phone was near dead. just ihr of video can drain the whole phone or 3/4 of it at the least!!!

if you are transferring large mp3 from computer to phone using bluetooth, it should be able to transfer directly to memory card by using nokia pc suite software to transfer. if its from another phone to 6280 then i'm not sure..

to answer Jerry's Question whch was "WIth only 6MB internal memory, does it mean that u cant bluetooth large mp3 songs to the phone? Can we set the bluetooth to go directly into the memory card instead of the phone received files?"
Anything sent to the phone will automatically be sent to "Gallery" where you can choose to move it to your memory card, and you can't set the bluetooth to go directly into the memory card instead of the phone received files.!!!

to answer Zyphon question, i think it can hold about 1Gb not sure as i have'nt tried it on my phone yet! ( yes i have a Nokia 6280)

i got it on contract from a fone shop in buchanan st in Glasgow last week its got lots of features but i find it a wee bit sober and boring it loks like a 1950s fone

I am thinking in buy this mobile, but i just want to know 1 thing. What is the max memory card this mobile can have? Does it supports mini-SD 512MB or 1GB? Please, someone answer fast. Somone who has this mobile phone.
