Pls i need help, i was downloading a game with my nokia 6280, but after the download any game i want to play the phone behaves abnormally. I think its a virus. Though this does not disturb the phone performance in anyway. If its a virus, wht do i do. Pls help. Your quick reply will be highly welcome. Sunny

Ts is d best phone as i've ever use... d camera quality is better thn n70. Video quality is awesome..

please i have noticed that most of the nokia products have very small memory space. this makes it difficult to download sturfs on the net. i was nokia 6280

bunny, 21 Nov 2008err,my 6280's batt always runs dry in less than a day even ... moreBunny, let me ask you this. . . the battery that you bought, is it an ORIGINAL NOKIA battery. Most people opt for the replacement type bcz it's less expensive but i'm 100% positive that if what you bought is the original one, you charged it till it went full, you never over charge it and as you claim, usage is minimal then it should even reach two (2) days. Mine does.

You must've damaged it that's why the store or even Nokia won't replace that due to mis-handling or mis-use. If you were the store, would you just replace a phone if you knew that the defect or problem was caused by the user? You wouldn't right? Just be fair and move-on.

tpu, 08 Dec 2008ive been using it for more than 3 years bt never got tired ... moretpu, the 6280's camera is ecxellent. You probably didn't check your camera settings. It gives you many options depending how many pictures you want it to store but if you really want the best quality, follow these instructions: Menu>Media>Camera>Options>Settings>Image size>1600x1200. Trust me, you'll be very pleased and happy with those settings. Just expect that bcz the phone will be consuming more pixels due to a very high definition picture then it's going to reduce the number of shots/picture it can store with that setting.

Ansar, 03 Jan 2009ive used this phone and i really do think its the worse pho... moreSo sorry to hear about your 6280 failing you but for mine which we've had for 27 months, I've only had to replace the flex ribbon cable once (1x) and so far everything's been great. Is it possible that you must've damaged your 6280 by either getting it wet or having dropped ot banged it a couple of times. It's possible also that the Network that you're supporting or carries a weak signal. Suggest that you always put your phone in Automatic Roaming so that you're not limited to just one Tower.

sphenzer haskins, 20 Jan 2009ei, thank you so much for posting this information. its bee... moreSphenz, your camera not working and it saying operation failed is connected to the Flex. 100% sure na yon. Just have the Flex Ribbon replaced and your camera will be fixed immediately. Trust me, I had that same problem and it was fixed by replacing the Flex Ribbon. FYI, that's the only problem with sliding and flip-top/clam phones, everything is dependent on the Flex as compared to 1 pc phones.

becky, 21 Jan 2009I have been having major phone traumas lately ! so i hooked... moreBecky, d 6280's fone memory cn only hold up to 10MB while u hv alredi upgraded ur Memory card to 1.0 Gig. Whichever one u use, it shd hold/store more dn 25 msgs. Hr's wt u do, u go to Messaging>Message settings>Save sent messages>Yes. Now as for the msgs dt u rcvd, follow this Messaging>Message settings>Text messages>Message validity>Maximum time. That should solve your pronlem. =)

Suggest you get an original Nokia Headset and you will truly appreaciate all the BASE that headset will bring. It's just a little bit costly but it's worth it.

Trish, 03 Jan 2009whats the difference bet. 6280 and 6288??The only difference between a Nokia 6280 and 6288 is just the Housing. That's all. If you're due for a Housing replacement already, might as well get that of the 6288 so that your phone will look and appear newer.

I inherited my wife's Nokia 6280 whose 2 year postpaid line contract expired last Oct 2008. It looks exactly like the picture on the upper left. All default. I had to replace the Flex Ribbon Cable, the LCD, the speaker and I had it unlocked or open lined already to accomodate my other sim cards. Since I got the parts from local street stores, i'm not optimistic it's going to last long but at least i got it cheap. Next would be the Housing. I might get that of the 6288 considering it's the same phone. I've alsp bought a 2.0 Gig Mini-SD Memory card w/c I've filled it up w/ MP3 songs. So far the phone's been okay specially when I put the stereo headset-on. I just noticed that after playing the music player for awhile, it suddenly beeps then it turns the music player-off & it goes back to the main screen prob due to over playing/heating. When i also play the radio w/ the loudspeaker-on, it suddenly plays all the stations very quickly. So far that's what i've noticed w/ my 2 year and 3 month old Nokia 6280. No issue or problem with any freezing or viruses. I'm not the type who experiments on a phone's software. Would anyone care to give a comment why it does this? Thank you.
