symbian is the operating system co owned by several mobile phone companies that was part of psion.
this phone uses nokia SERIES 40 (same as the 6230) ie NOT the symbian os used by series 60 in most current nokia g3 phones.

Iam a sles person in a mobile shop and i recently purchased the 6280 for myself.Over all the phone is fantastic, but one of the problems ive encountered is that when i recive bluetooth items from friends, is that you ave to move the item from recived items over to the memory card witch i find annoying as i use my bluetooth alot. At present that is the only bad point i have with the phone. As for the sliding mech people say that the mech is unstable but with samsung mechs you find they have a habbit of sticking, were as ( i hope ) the Nokia 6280 hasent and wont

today i bought the nokia 6280, which is a great phone despite what other people may say.I love it! it got everything i need in a fone.My fone operator is 3 mobile and bought the fone for $460 Pre-paid with $20 credit.
i will reply if the phone has problems

please let me know the settings for e-mail and web browsing. If tried getting it sent to me from the nokia site 4 times, but they just don't send the settings to me.

Had one of these recently on upgrade.Very disappointed with the quality of the slide mechanism - too much movement between the top and bottom parts of the phone. Returned the phone twice and both replacement handsets had the same problem. In the end gave up with it. Gone back to my old phone and will wait for something better to come out. Shame as overall it's a pretty good phone.

hey guyz i've just bought d fone its damn amazin.. looks wise its damn cool..
but there's a problem in d message details.. it doesn't show the time of d message correct..
i just wanna know r u guyz also facin d same problem.. does anyone know how to rectify it..

go to delivery setting and set delivery report to monitor the other party recving of sms.

Hi, just got this phone at last on T-Mobile in the U.K. Manual is incomplete though - anyone know how long I should do it's initial battery charge? Or is it just til it says 'charged'????
Or does anyone know where I can find out?

I agree that carbon black is sexy but everyone in the world has it so in fact I'm actually quite bored of looking at everyone playing with their black ones on the trains, buses, elevators, bars and at parties...

think you better go for carbon black. its looks nice and cool rather than silver. silver looks ordinary nowadays :)

yes u can get more than 64 mb and no this phone is not a symbian
