Got this unit about 2 weeks ago. Had to return it, because the time of "Inbox" messages received are all wrong. While the time noted on the "sent" messages are right. Don't understand why Nokia hasn't fixed this. Its the same problem I encountered with Nokia 6111. The other faulty feature for both, is that they crash occationally. Its really bothersome while you have been drafting a long text and all of a sudden, the screen goes blank and you have to wait until it refreshed itself. All the while whatever you've entered are lost. Very frustrating. Have decided not to buy Nokia in the meantime. I hear same story from users of these two items.

oh , really ? :( too bad it doesn`t support MP4 , but i still think is not a big dessantage , because with ImToo 3GP Video Convert 2.1.59 build-0206b you can convert in mp4 and 3gp , and i think it`s not so bad, THANK YOU "ImToo" :D

Yeah orange are a joke i hace lost count of the number of 'release dates' i have heard from them it just keeps getting pushed back probably because they are messing with the phone putting their stupid menus and stuff on! if the phone has a problem how come all the other networks have it!? i first registered my interest in this phone on their site in OCTOBER 2005!! thats over 6 months they have had it listed as 'coming soon' they should be done for false advertising! by the way kevin i have just checked ornage web site and it is still not available on there. i just wish i could dump orange but im only halfway through my contract and i want this phone now!

I sent Orange (another) stroppy email the other day complaining about them deceiving all their customers and being left behind by all the other networks.
They reckon that it should be released by them from Monday the 10th April and that it has been delayed because of problems with the phone and they have had to get Nokia to sort them out.
I can live with a delay but don't like being left dangling without Orange telling us what is going on. They deserve to lose customers behaving like that.

Can anyone tell me why my Nokia 6280 which i bought today does not want to vibrate even though the function is active in the menu?

This phone is avalible at JAG and the offer at the moment is 1200 minutes 800 texts £20.00 per month and you get the phone for free, which i thought was great so i took one and the phone is brilliant and the guys at JAG are fantatic and very helpful

The 6280 is on Orange but only on the internet, they should have had the phone on the 13th of last month according to a guy i spoke to over the phone at Orange Dealer support. But to be honest you should get it on 3 as the WAP function is so much better and FREE to browse, and at the moment you get £5 of FREE downloads to use on What ever on want.

THIS IS A SHORT SIMPLE COMPARISON N70 VS 6280
6280 and n70 same 2.0mp camera
n70 better zoom
6280 better video quality
6280 (my opinion better looks)
6280 (bigger reso screen size)
6280 fast series 40 software faster than s60
6280 overall can have more expandable memory
n70 more camera zoom
n70 camera protection
n70 series 60 software, more apps etc
n70 said to have better build quality
front camera also used for pics/i think vids
for extra comparisions look at the nokia europe website and compare both the6280, n70
i hope this all helps this is most that i know,
in my very own opinion i would go with the 66280 mainly cause i got it and i know how good it is, i have used the n70 before, also a good phone but not as good as 6280 in my opinion

it dosnt support MP4 format, only 3GGP with all video reso's
And i also in my opinion like the miniSD cards that the 6280 has over MMC cards that the n70 has since mini sd's are relitevly cheaper in most shops, and it supports up to 2GB with mini SD, MMC i think dosnt go that high

When using the vga camera you must have ( if making a video call ) a 3G signal on both the phones that you are trying to call

hmm.......if compare this phone v n70 which 1 is better? if the internal memory so little got any effect for the phone? pls help me any pro out there

6280 reso 640 X 480
n70 reso 352 X 288
6280 video smoothness 15 frames per sec in 352 X288 and 13.5fps in 640 X 480
n70 video smoothness 15 frames per sec only in 352 X 288
so overall 6280 is better allowing vga reso recording and only decreases 1.5fps for its maximum. i got the 6280 so sound quality i believe is really good especially if u crank the equilizer for it to maximum settings

sound quality i dont know, i would suspect though, however video quality YES much better, since 6280 is one of the only phones that enables 640X480 reso recording or VGA for short, where as n70 can only record at 352X288. more reso means less dots and more clear picture. Smoothness of video movment is another thing, in this comparision n70 and 6280 are the same

Why it's volume in the videotone lower than in the media player? with the musics is the same.
