unfortunately the nokia 6280 dosnt have a usable front camera, u can only use the front camera for video calling only

Guess what guys?! This phone is coming out in different colours soon on Hutchison 3G. Then the software faults will also be fixed. Aiming to be released in May. And I work for Hutch so i know.

I just checked from the nokia website that realplayer is not available in this phone. Im wondering if this phone is the same as nokia 6230. Which means they can only play mp3 continuously using internal memory? It sounds confusing.. But really hope that someone can solve my mystery.. Lol.. Thanks a lot..

Why do u want MP4 audio format AAC+ is way better than any formats...

Orange aren't the only network that have had this on there website as coming soon for months on end ! Vodafone only released it a few weeks ago and T-mobile & o2 have only just released within the last week or so ! I've had this phone on 3 for a couple of months now and have to admit it is a good 3G phone. However if I was looking to buy a new phone at this moment in time I wouldn't buy it. It's hardly the best built phone in the world and compared to new models from Samsung (Z540, Z510) it seems very large in size. There a lot of other better looking 3G phones on the horizon, due in the next month or so.
I don't regret buying this phone as it is probably the best available on 3 and I wouldn't buy a phone for 3G use on any other network at the moment due to the other networks poor 3G coverage and content.
However if your not bothered about 3G services then there is no reason what so ever for buying this phone because all other functions are average.

If you read my post down the page properly, you will see that my issue is with Orange constantly telling us that the 6280 is 'coming soon'. Six months on the website is not 'coming soon'!!
And testing or not, it should never take this long to iron out problems. If they are having some they should just admit it anyway and stop providing false dates just to keep their customers.

Orange takes only the phones that are tested and working. tested by them. so, what do u preffer? to wait a bit longer and get a working phone, or to get it faster and send it to service every week?

Had this phone on 3 for around 2 months now, i'm on my second handset and its been sent away for new software but still problems, i'm alone either as 2 work freinds suffering the same and one guy from the 3 store, they now talking about a total recall of all these handsets on 3!

O2-UK released this phone on Monday 3rd April, but didn't have any in stock! I emailed them asking about this, and they reckon it will probably be another couple of weeks before they are fully stocked. Guess that means they have the odd ones floating about atm!

gah!!! I so want this phone on O2 UK - phoned the upgrade line on Friday - told to call back today which I have done and been told that the release date has been put back til the 17th!!! AAARGH!!!
If it means though that when it does get released without the problems that everyone on 3 has seemed to have then I dont mind waiting a bit longer!! Even if it is driving me mad!

sorry for the mistake...
for me, there is a bundle software came with box called u-lead that can convert to both mp4 and 3gp, and i try its work very well both of the format!
so law wat phone u r using?

what u mean i do own a 6280, what i was saying was the 6280 automativally compresses its videos to 3GGP since there are still many 3gp converters out there.
If u wanted that type of qns then yes it dose support MP4 aswell, check the nokia websites they say it all, ive been look there for my info

1 thing for sure, if you use video call alot, 6280 might not be a great phone, if compare to n70 and v3x... duno y, 6280 look lag and in low framerate...
