I understand that this phone will be released on the o2.co.uk website on Monday 10th April. Hopefully this won't be pushed back any further! I would have thought this will be final as the three networks contract with nokia is over.

Marsland the Mp3 quality is brilliant, real clear and crisp and very good acoustics. A far cry from the 6630 I had before. yes it does compare to the w800i as my GF has and I much prefer the headset with this. Very good all rounder

Does anyone know when this will be available from o2 in UK? I have seen other posts saying it is now available from Vodafone so the 3 contract must have finished (I assume!?). Been waiting to upgrade from a D500 for two months now and the release date keeps being put back on the o2 website. Please help.

Bought this 6280 for few days and so far so good and it doesn't hanged like N70.
The disappointments on this phone is that the front camera cannot take your own piture except for 3G use and the sound output not so loud.
The plus of this phone is the stunning QVGA display screen and 640X480 video quality (N70 only 358X288).
I my opinion, I have used N70 & 6280.
For functionality, goes for N70 (Smat Phone).
For good camera & video, faster response, goes for 6280. I rate at 8.38/10.00

Hi guys, looking at the spec of this phone it seems to be the best on the market. the one thing i need to know is whats the biggest memory card it can support. looking at the nokia n80 it says in the spec that it can support up to 2gig. in the spec of this phone it only says 70mb... i would ideally like to be able to support higher memory than that as the 2mp camera will take up more memory as it is... can anybody help? Many thanks.

I have just purchased 2 nokia 6280's & i must say it's nothing to rave about i am considering returning them within my 14 days as i think that the phone is flimsy and will break easily. After waiting for 2 months all i can say is that i'm very disappointed with my purchases, they should of made it smaller and stronger & for you to be able to use full track downloads as ring tones instead of locking them well disappointed :o( xx Hotlips x x x

Hi ,
getting finaly this 6280 on friday but thanks to gsmarena I know every little mistake and everthing.
To compare this phone to the samsung d600, this phone is really better.
Nokia has better cam in phones than samsung (I had nokia 6230 and compared my pictures with d500, it was nearly same quality but 0.3mp nokia and 1.3 mp samsung!)
The 6280 has 3G and not the d600, that's really important i think.
By the way, my brother uses samsung and I really prefer nokia menus.
perhaps some ppl prefer d600 styll bcause 6280 is a little rectangular shape. For me 6280 is nicer and styllish...
what dyou think guys ?

can anyone comment on the mp3 sound quality with headphones or with loudspeakers. is it loud and clear? how is it comparing with w800?

Got my 6280 on Friday night. NOT too big, NOT too heavy, great display and stunning video quality in 640 x 480 full screen mode!. Nice slide but slightly loose (Vibrate is a no go on this phone IMO because of this

dont buy a 256mb memory card for this phone. not enuf at all. bcoz the picture qualities are quite high. so wil taken a lot of space as well. i brought a 512mb sdmini. quite a lot space. if u put many mp3s. sure not enuf.
i found out the phone is lagging or slow when i view pictures!!!! overall, wat a great and fast performace s40 phone

such a long time didnt leave a comments here. after im the person who purchase the 6280 in australia the first day it released. i so happy with the phone actually (bcoz that's the only phone in nokia wif faster performance). i think everyone already read the review in gsm areana. i think they done a good job, the phone is really heavy compared to other quality phone. one think i found out is, the picture quality is good BUT it is only in outdoor shooting. in door shooting wasnt good at ALL! even u use flash light or night mode. another thing is, i duno y the camera cant really shoot short distance pictures. try to use 6280 to capture a picture in close range such as map or textbooks' sentenses. it doesnt clear at ALL. even u zoom in and it's very blur. y i mention abt this is because previously i own a 6230, and the 0.3pixel camera can shoot a close range picture such as map or textbook's characters sentenses. and it works! i can zoom in and see everythings. (for me, i use camera by phone is bcoz it is so convinient for me to shoot somethings very important such as notes or little map direction which very useful for me but i found out 6280 cant help me at all) if u r a person like me, likes to shoot some important notes or stuf in close range or in INDOOR. please note, this phone seems like not really suite us. if another know how to solve my problem please help me. i already tried many method and keep change the camera settings, and it still doesnt work! im not comparing other phone qualities to this nokia phone, im just compared the same company product. y 0.03pixel can be better than 2.0 megapixel phone? (i means short distance shooting pix)

i think this phone is amazing, great picture resolution mp3 player for great sound and nokia is the best and this phone just seems great in looks and stylishness, im just waiting for the price to come down so i can buy it ,

yes this phone had a tv option , which i thin depends on the phone company your with . On three mobile i know that you can watch live tv and i think with optus too. Not sure about other phone companys though!

even through i never touch or play with this nokia 6280 but i manage to take a sneak preveiw n this phone is gd n i used plenty of nokia phones n currently using nokia 6630 n its faster compared nokia 6680 n 7610,6670 n i do own sony w800i n using it as mp3 player only n i watch smart movie in my 6630 n fantastic compared to recent nokia phones n the nokia 6630 is 3rd batch no bugs problem n nokia give me warranty until 1 year n free software upgrad n i think i should wait 3rd batch release for 6280 nokia n this baby looks cool better than nokia N70 n N90 interms of design i mean hehehehe laughter in evil way Oops

Yes, the 6280 is availaible in Portugal! I will get mine next Monday. I promise to post comments here after one or two days of use. Now I think this phone is what I need with the exception of the camera which I rarely will use because I have a Cybershot with 5 MP.
