just got this handset a couple of weeks ago- its fantastic, camera is ace, functions are smart- well worth getting, what a phone 100% from me guys

spoke to 3 in bury, manchester and they say 6280 should be out for new customers in the next week or so at last. but ill believe it when i see it!!

yes this phone has all features. but are the people using it? not all features are used btw. the most used feature is MP3.

Just rang Vodafone UK today, they say it's released 28th Feb. It says January on the website...looks like more waiting.

Why would GSMarena put it on Available on the status? it says you can buy it @ BuyMobilePhones(UK)
check that place out!!
I know that GSMarena is not 100% accurate, but why think negative?
If you like this phone.. Look for it!!
Just like what i did on the 6270.. 1st time it came out.. I emailed some dealers... got intouch with my hook ups.. check the web!!
Now hurry and do your thing!! I believe this phone is out!!
but like the 6270.. the 1st batch is full of errors and cheap design.. trust me!!

it's not out and it seems it will never be out :)
so don't wait for this phone go for a 6270 or n90 or wait a lil' and buy n80 but u will never ever ever ever ever get this phone

Latest news! Release date in Denmark is February the 10th. According to 3 Denmark, 3 have worldwide exclusive rights to sell the Nokia 6280 the first 3 months. Yes, there seems to be a problem with the software and due to that, only a limited amount of handsets will be available.

This phone is good if you are goin to use it in Europe or Asia..
Not an American phone..
3G Capabilities not gonna work in US or Canada!

i've orderd a 6280 as upgrade handset from 3.really impresive looks and a good touch feeling,simplified but useful functions.Especially,6 month half price with a 12 month duration. 3 trade good to the repeat business.

This phone is brilliant, apart from it suddenly restarting all the time, the phone has all the features you could want!! 2 mp camera, radio, ptt, and music player!!PLUS MORE!! you can do a lot with this mobile its fantastic although there seems to be a problem with the software as it keeps restarting itself randomly!

Its a perfect phone. the camera, the looks, the size and the weight. but then the sound isnt so good! =( too bad. Why cant you, nokia put a True tones in this phone. If you do, people would looking forward to have this. because it has everything, Completo! keke. so yeahh. n70's good, but then slow. and it has really great sound quality! but argh slow.

You guys are so in a hurry to get this phone, you guys don't even know if the 3G will work in your area.. Im reffering to the Americans and Canadians!!
Don't you guys know we will be using 1900Mhz UMTS frequency.. and this phone only have 2100Mhz UMTS frequency..
Then you guys complain..
"I wanna return it"
"Too many errors"
"Need Firmware Update"
Over and Over Again this happens!!

So it's gone from Early December to Jan, Mid Jan to End Jan and now on some Networks Feb!
Even Then you'll be lucky if you get it in the limited amount of first batch phones!
If it IS released according to the new timescales!
Nokia have messed up this phones release big time!

It is already available on 3, but only on upgrades at the moment. It should be available on Orange by the end of the month and on Vodaphone and O2 in February.

to sese, yes, its there in black and white? so i searched 'nokia software market' and this is a place where you can buy games apps etc. just choose the make of your phone and look at everything there is to buy for your phone, only trouble is that the 6280 is not listed, neither is the 6270 which uses the same system 40 and is already released, so possibly because system is very new it may take time for developers to catch up! but i have been told that system 40 is going to pushed by nokia alot and so.....who knows! someone will develope for it sooner or later im sure. but i have tried searching tomtom series 40 and gps series 40 and have not really founb anything concrete yet! BUT series 40 3rd edition is brand new
