have you seen the specification on nokia site about video recording resolution on this device?;vga! 640x480,mp4.could anyone confirm this feature? is this really real? finally vga video on mobiles? or is a mistake?

Orange have it out soon but if anybody wants in on contract on Orange www.phoneboxdirect.co.uk these seem to have it available right now hope it helps you people who want it as soon as possible

hey i got the phone from 3 on friday and so far so good, batterylife is good, camera is excellent, but unorturtunatly u can only change one of the navigational keys, which is a shame. logging onto 3 also seems a bit slow,but apart from that its fine radio quality is excellent, and once the headphones are plugged in you can put it onto speaker phone and the sound quality is the best ive heard, the best phone from 3 yet, at last they have done sumthing right. not as easy to use as other nokias but well worth it, if anybody has any idea how to change the navigattional keys please let me no.hope this helps

Spoke with Nokia today. It seems the reason why its not out yet and only Three have them for upgrades is, they made a deal with Nokia for first release of the phone. Meaning no one else are allowed to sell them, including licensed Nokia shops, in till the agreed first release period is up. This should be at the end of January.
Just companies making the most money as possible!

I even rang Orange direct and they say they aint got a clue when its coming out.
If it came out i would of got this even though i think it looked big on the demos.
But demos cant always do a phone justice, which i realised over the years.
Ive waited over christmas not getting a phone beacuse this was supposed to be realesed but finally, i gave up today and like i said ordered the 6230i on Orange.

I've been waiting for ages as well for this to come out on Orange. It says coming soon on their website and my contract has expired so as soon as it is released I will get 1. I don't understand why it keeps getting delayed though. I was practically guaranteed that it would be out before Xmas and they let me down. If it isn't out before February I don't think I will wait for it.

I was looking for a new contract and phone on Orange UK and over last few months ive been checking whats available. I prefer Nokias for their Easy User Interface. Got a 6230.
Was Nearly Tempted on Sony K750i. But i cant get used to their interface. (had a t68i ages ago.)plus all the other makes.
No other interface is as good as Nokia IMO.
Really was looking forward to getting this phone, Been Checking up on it for ages.
However went around all phone shops yesterday and no one could tell me when coming out. all said MAYBE end of month, phones4u even said MAYBE feb. All which are too late for me!
3 have it on upgrade for existing Customers. My uncle was due an upgrade so got him to ring them. I dont like 3 though.
Saw Demo in CarPhoneWarehouse and it IS Chunkier than i expected considering the Size Spec comparable to the 6230. Looked Very Big when Slide Open. Wasnt Impressed to Be honest. Compared to The size of the Samsung Sliders.
Checked 6680 and N70, Keypads are terrible on them. TOO cramped, Easy to hit wrong Keys while texting or Calling. Plus they are Big.
In the End Ordered 6230i.

sydney and malaysia stil unavailable =( but i wil wait..although i wait for 6 months already. now im using n6230 too, the only phone can replace 6230 is only 6280.
there are lot of advantages and disadvantages of tis phone, but u cant expect a phone can be so powerful and summore small and compact.
nokia is a brand which is making a lot of so-called "DATABASE PHONE", most of the business-man prefer to use nokia more than other brand. for me, i think it is cheap to repair and the quality is not bad although now stil ranking the first in the world.
alrite, 6280 can be a better fon.. please post some comparable opinion for this fon.

dont buy a 6111 or n70, majority of these handsets have been returned in the first few days of being sold, give nokia a little while to sort the problems out with them

The Nokia 6280 is available in the UK, but the three network have bought all of the UK stock and are only using it for existing customer upgrades. It will be available for all shortly.

I have just received this phone 6280 this week as an upgrade on 3uk. Its pretty good, features are plentyful. The sound via headphones is excellent. I have a question for anyone else who has this phone, is the closed slide meant to have a little play(movement), mine has and i'm worried its faulty??? any healp appreciated.

for a guy who ask whether there is a cheaper price for this phone, here in my country, the price is 230 pounds and it will be shipped at the end of this month, hopefully.

I went to the local 3 shop today her in Denmark and the salesman showed me a dummy model of the Nokia 6280. I wasn’t planning on getting a new phone just now, but after reading about it, I did end up preordering one. 2-3 weeks and it’s out in Denmark. Price £185, after the 6 month binding period ends.

i really want this mobile it has fab features and all but if it doesn't come out soon im gonna go with the moto v3i cos that is damn sexy and has good camer/video and itunes man!
when does this nokia come out in the uk please!

I've been waiting for this phone to replace my 6230. I played on 1 in a 3 shop in London and it took me about a minute to fall in love with it. As soon as it's released on Orange I'll be the first one in the shop and get it!
