i've just checked the software on my phone pressing *#0000#, its says v 03.36, is that what its meant to be or is the reason why my phone keeps restarting itself is because i need to upgrade the software? not being funny but shouldnt the phone have the right software on it in the first place?

For anyone who has problem in opening the back cover, at the bottom edge of the cover use your finger nails to push it towards the top end of the phone, using your other hand to grip the middle portion of the phone, and it will slide open easily.

a slide up phone is cool but the 6280 is better da 6280 has one problem you have to upgrade da soft ware and once da phone did n't slide up lol its a very good phone get

HI peeps! just want to ask how can you know the software of a cellphone, because i saw one of the opinion here and said that the software of 6280 should be 8.0 or 8.1 to have a good performance, do u have any idea how to know the version software?is there a key to press or what?thnx!

The nokia 6280 used to have software issues. If your mobile automatically restarts, then u need to upgrade ur software at a nokia care centre. The upgraded software is 8.0 or 8.1. Any newer version than that should work as well

if you experience automatic switch off every now and then...proceed to the nearest nokia service center and ask for firmware upgrade or reprogram the unit for free.

hello people it automatically resarts itself because theres an application when u add something new on the phone it restarts its CALLED POWER SAVER GO TO SETTINGS PHONE IT WILL BE THERE U CAN SWITCH IT OFF

i've had this phone for 7 months and cant wait to upgrade from it. Its not really that bad, the only thing that gets on my nerves about it is that it keeps switching itself off and has done so ever since i got it, does anyone know why this is?

Fantastic phone, love it since I got it. Honestly think its a good buy, lot of stuff to keep you amused. 2 megapixel camera is fantastic, very efficent

WARNING:
Look carefuly at the phone's pics:
The internal antenna is not visible under the batterry, which means it is under simcard just like on mine 6170! This is a second stupidity from Nokia which reduces the signal by 20%!
Maybe in Russia, or Germany the cell. signal is perefect inside every building (maybe new buildings, or maybe cell phone tower is every two blocks) . Well, this is defenitely not in New York!!!!

this phone is a nightmare, total let down from nokia reputation.
no end of problems,switching itself off, changing settings, losing pictures. glad to change to sony ericsson

i have only had it for a few days but it is a great phone and i really like it the only problem i am having at the moment is the voice tags, it dosnt seem to recognise my commands and find the right person, why cant we use our own voice in voice tags you could on one nokia that i have had. Is any one else finding the same problem as me if so i wonder if you can set it up to use your own voice any body know please pass it on to me, thanks. Gill

Guys! The only reason your phone resets the settings is if the memory card pops out. which is easy to do if its in your pocket.
