Is there anybody who experiences problems that 2Zwj have? Cause I'm planning to settle down for this phone and if settings keep changing, then I maybe in deep soup when I bring this phone to school and it rings.

Only problem I have with this phone is that the Media Player has no forward or rewind. Other that that, it's quite a good phone. I used to have numerous reboots especially while playing music, but that has stopped in recent weeks.

Howdy to all out there in the phone world. I've read some of your opinions and I must admit that it has me a little concerned. I have had my 6280 about a week now, and I've had a minor issue with the phone. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this previously, however I don't have the time to sit here and read all 120 odd pages. My only real complaint is that my phone keeps changing the settings, I have had to reset my ring and message tones about 3 times, and the other day my screen options (i.e: Go To, Menu, Optus Zoo) went back to their original set out. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, do you know if it is a major issue and fixable? I would also like to know about this apparent software "upgrade".

Just gotten mine fr about a week. So far not much problem ... but the upper flip seems to be a little fragile. My hubby go the same model gtot it replace after using it fr a day as the flip seems loose. According to the shop - it a common problem fr this model. It looked firmer after we fixed the crystal casing.

Dear all nokia 6280 user.
There is a commom problem with this phone:when a call is ongoing and another call is received (call waiting option activated), the external speaker will be on the first call be on this speaker till the rings ends for the second call.
Does anyone noticed that and is there a patch or a new software version to fix it???

Autopage Contract 6280. I am in South Africa and have a Vodacom Contract Phone with Autopage. I had renewed my contract with Autopage and just got it for 2 weeks and it started giving me problems. The Battry can be fully charge but the next day it runns down, the phone decided not to ring at all it was in a Silence tone although the Profile was General. I took it to Nokia at Vodaworld they formated the Cell phone and re-installed the Software without checking exactly what the problem was. So far I still have a problem with the Battery Running down quickly - I don't think they did anything to it. My Previous phone took at least 3days before it ran down and its not as "advanced" as the 6280. Other than that I'm yet to experience the other options the phone has. This thing of replacing a customers phone only before 7day is a rip-off - they should give customers at least a Month. Its cheating - I think they do that knowing that the phones will start giving problems after the 7thday going. That's my opinion.

my nokia 6280 really make me headache. i bought it on april 2006. got so many problem with it. it restart automatically and sometime even cannot detect call and sms. just like it is offline. i send it back for servicing and they just reformat it and promise me such condition wont happen again. but who knows, until now, it still the same. i dont know wat to do with it, is it still able to be repair? i very satisfy with nokia 6280 from its shape and function.

Yes, you can hang a charm on it. There is a hole at the left bottom. Remove the back cover and you can put a string on it.

After having my nokia 6280 since may I had to send the first one back because it would not charge up not on my second one have been for some time ,but it keeps switching its self of is any one having the same trouble ?

hi, i got this phone today, i started downloading some mp3 and mp4 media from my PC into it when During the file transfer the connection via usb cabel broke and switched it self off
When attempting to switch the phone back on, power comes on for few seconds and the screen immediately fades away, switching the phone off.
I was suspecting that the problem might be with the phone memory being full and therefore the same might be low to "reboot" the software to start up the phone.
In this respect I have removed the memory card (mini sd 64mb) and the SIM card to free some memory and tried to switch the phone back on.
It worked in such a way that now the phone is on and displays the message "Start up phone without SIM card?” giving you two (2) options:
1. Accept
2. Reject
When "Accept" is pressed, phone screen fades away and repeats the same few times before switches itself off.
When "Reject" is pressed, phone goes off immediately.
Would you be so kind to advise what if anything can be done to bring the phone back to the normal operation? Any codes and stuff available? Pls?
Any assistance given will be much appreciated. I didnt even use the phone for 1 hour and its broken? hope not, plz help
i copied this from someone cuz i am facing the same problem and being in Ghana West Africa Nokia don't give a damn about what happens to my phone so can someone please help me fix this problem..thank you so much for your time.

Does anyone has the problem where the 6280 wont charge ? I've only had the phone for like 1 month and sometimes the phone just won't charge.I've pretty much lost my patience with Nokia, the phones are not what they used to be.

of course you may use attach pix,vids,mp3 or recordings thru e-mail...that is if you have an e-mail account by your service provider.
stereo sound for the headset...you may buy an Audio Adapter so you can use any type of your favorite headsets and you may plug it in any component or cassette with Line In jack and enjoy the rhythm.
external speaker sounds loud enough to hear, just like N6230...it depends really on the quality of the tone or music you play... poorly recorded mp3 or tones would really sound bad when played so better maintan ratio of 128 or 192kbps.

This iz a AWESOME phone...It has a great screen, fast high quality camera, nice loud sound/music & loudspeaker, fast loaading files/net, good quality 3G...GREAT PHONE overall!!!all up 9/10 very good

ok there is like 100 so on pages, some information and some just pure slander of the phone, so i opologise if this question has already been asked and answered, but 126 pages would take me a while and quite frankly its tedious!
is there a place on the 6280 that i can hang a phone charm - not usually into them but it was a present!

PPL in india and especially in mumbai plz visit the brightpoint service center which is in lower parel high street bigbazaar b4 u purchase ANY NOKIA HANDSETS trust me after going there where an average og 1000 ppl come for getting thier handsets repair for either some minor things like keypad problem or something really serious as software problems u will seriously reconsider buying a NOKIA handset
and yes the staff is very careless and least bothered abt u or your handsets i vow i never purchase a nokia handset or even recommend one to anyone I THINK SE IS THE BETTER CHOICE 2day
