the flash is not a torch flash, it cant be use in video capture. There is no manage calls features like in SE. The messages cant be move to sim.Hey Nokia people why dont you learn from sonny erricson. the 6270 has a torch flash and can even use in video capture the 6280 is a downgrade.

I just bought this phone. The goods: great screen and awesome resolution. Good interface, nice sound quality,good video, quicker compared to W800i (i mean games and switching between tasks). The bads: bulky, faulty battery left reporting, Poor camera (still picture) quality compared to W800i, small memory card (only 64MB included). The problems outlined by many users here seem to be due to the need of a firmware update, mine is version 3.81. Great phone if u don't mind the camera nad bulkiness.

well some phone dis is, jus bought dis phone it`s well packed convenient ,classy also got style but also comes with hitches
first 2 weeks i bought dis is my observation so far
used the radio for about 15hrs all through the day + a little of other function
the camera is supperb (good for pics taking)n also the video recording depending on the resolution n quality u set it two but the diadvantage of the video is the lights can not be turned on for recording which is bad cause night recording is out of question
the major hitch of this phone is that of the interal memory which is shared n to little..
Had to take the phone to the dealer twice for repairs within the first two weeks i bought it , transfering data larger than internal memory space available cuzed the phone to crash, trip off until reset by the dealer,
pls if anyone knows how to re route all received data via blue tooth/infra red to the memory card without it being stored in the galllery internal memory ,.....pls mail me

I have the 6280 for about 5months, it good, only locked me out once a while. but photo taking fantastic especially in the moving vehicle. beautiful secenaries. I still like this model. good1

Hi im allen and i live in gladstone australia the nokia 6280 is sooo crap ive had 3 nokia phone and they have all broken. I only had the 6280 for a month and i paid $600 for it and in the first month it broke, it kept turning off and vibrating. Dont bye one dont buy nokia.

Well the fact that I am on my second 6280 after having sent my first one back for repair twice about tells the story. Endless problems such as switching off mid conversation, sending messages 20 times for no reason, barring me from using it every other day and the list goes on.
I was assured it was simply a one off bad phone and it was replaced. I have since spoken to other people who have experienced the same continuous problems.
I have also been told by two phone shops that it is a terrible phone that has endless faults that is being taken out of production.
Bottom line. . . don't buy this phone!!!
Other than that its pretty neat.

Hey Kwa,
I've had this phone for about 7 months now, the SMS limit appears to be set by the amount of free internal phone memory. I've deleted or moved most of the stuff on the internal memory to memory card. My SMS inbox can hold about 2050 messages. More than enough i think you'll find ;-)

i've had this phone for quite sometime now and sometimes when my friends send me ringtones it tells me file corrupted and all that why does it say that cuz this is getting frustrating im thinking of getting the nokia n80 if this keeps up can someone tell me why this is happening?

Question....My version of my N6280 is v03.70. How do I upgrade to v03.81? My Nokia Suite is version 3.81 but my phone still shows v3.70 Help!!!!!

Hi all
I have been reading about various opinions and comparisons. I must say that this is the best Nokia phone available in the market. It has its +ves and -ves, but overall it is rated above all other nokia phonesas it has all the functions you need in a cell phone.
Size and construction is solid, compact and proportionate. Not big or fat or heavy like N series. Looks beautiful.
Keypad and D pad very soft and easy to use.
Screen quality high but not among the best.
Camera good but unlike N series.
Music player good but not like Walkman series.
Only Nokia model to display full screen caller id picture.(correct me if I am wrong)
Battery time is good but not like SE phones.
SMS capacity is only 200, its not good.
Web browsing average.
Has radio also.
Video is good than 3gp videos.
Games and applications are easy to download unlike samsung.
So all in all there might be other phones better than this, but in Nokias, it is the best looking and high performance mobile phone.

I have a 6280 phone i have had no issues with software, i am very impressed with this phone all the features work really well, it is the best phone currently on the market, until you damage it and you try to get a replacement on your insurance. Everyone seems to be waiting for stock to arrive.
If you have one be carefull with it as they seem fragile, some one needs to make a protective case for it.

Greetings to all. my younger brother bought a nokia 6280 a few days back. can anyone plz tell me how take picture or video with the front camera if possible? also if i transfer images from another mobile using bluetooth to the 6280 were r they stored? r they automatically saved in the mobile? thanks.

hey.. i'm from Romania.. here, they retreat this phone from all Mobile Shops .. they said that Nokia has very big problems with this phone's soft and they aren't going to produit any more 6280.. they said that soon will appear a new phone of this kind from nokia replacing this model

Hi Victor, dont go for it. it has too many software problems, go the n-series route. i sold my second 1, even after the latest software upgrade it hassled my life.

HI I just got dis fone but not happy it only come with 64mb card. I asked the salesman to if I could swap 64mb for 512mb or 1gb but he sed no.
