what was all that about, it a site for people,to talk about the 6280 . not selling or advertising .

Hi, im loving everything about this phone but one thing is annoying the hell out of me. I can't get on the bludy internet. Im with three on contract and i need to go on it to see my balance and what messages and voice minutes i have left. I aslo have 5 pound worth of free downloads of month so i need the internet, whenever i try to cnnect to it it jsut saying "packet data connection not available". Has anybody else had this problem and how did they get around it. A quick responce would be greatly appreciated

this pho9ne is top tier
spec wise it could have obliterated alot of phones
it even has the video resolution of VGA which could stand for
"video great and acceptable"
bt the thing is
it also holds the guiness book of world records for "the BUGGIEST PHONE in the world"!!!

I just found that my firmware is 3.70. I can access to my E-Mail folder but others phone with firmware 3.65 able to access to the E-mail folder.

hi all
well ive gt the 6280 and more thyen happy with it touch wood no problems yet but at this stage its the best nokia ive had .
and as for the battery life mine seems too last 4 ages
my old nokia the 3230 does not even come clse too the 6280

CASMAT, Did you notice the phone more slow with the 2 gigas memory?
I will buy the 1 giga memory and if with 2 gigas there isn´t slow with the 1 giga will musn´t be any problem...

i have this phone and w810i, i found 6280 is a better phone than w810i and other phones i used before.
The only problem is its photo quality is really unacceptable esp. when compare with w810i.
Its video quality is very good but it take lots of memory. However, this is not really a matter for me as i got a 2G memory card.
It is a really nice phone, if it is not locked by three (Australia) >.<

ice, i got the 512mb card in my phone and found it works well , not noticed its being slow.

....Hey, Marco we have the same problem!!..THATS THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY PHONE(6280)..the only diff is I upload Theme to my 6280 using the USB CABLE..thats the same problem I encountered...I went to a diff tech but still cant fixed it..DRAGOS is right we need "FLASH BOX" plus the Software!!..all of the technician have the Flash Box and software but still cant open my phone...they tried diff version..but still cant fixed it!!!

It's a relief to know I'm not going mad, I have been talking to Vodafone for weeks about the problems with my 6280 and because I'm outside of my 14days since receiving the phone, they won't even let me have it replaced for a different model - so many minus points to this phone I just don't want it no more.
Like most people on here, the phone resets itself ALOT when I use music player but also sometimes when I'm browsing thru contacts/messages. The on board memory is so small, I cannot receive one mp3 track by bluetooth even thou I've got nothing else stored there apart from rubbish Voda stuff that I don't want and can't even delete. And yes, the battery life is also poor, I have to charge it every 2nd day and that's only if I don't talk to anyone (standby use only)!
And the slide when closed is a bit shaky too. After years of loyal Nokia purchases, I think next time I'll look to other manufacturers and steer clear. The 6280 is also rather a bulky phone considering the day and age we are in!

Hi Just got this phone and think it's brilliant but i have heard a lot about this phone having problems and it breaking. Is there anything in particular that can cause the 6280 to have problems?

Purchased phone in South Africa 2 days ago. Price very steep at R3500. Very disappointed with slide - very shaky when closed. Sound not as loud/good as N70. Some functions like calculator are too deep in menu

Nokia 6280 has a great design, good camera... but thats all there is to it. The phone is a bug-fiesta! For example the Bluetooth ceases to function after a while, confirmed by some owners, Shifting profiles can cause the phone to crash, The media player can get stuck in loops. Pretty much anything you do can make it crash or hang - That was some examples. Other negative stuff is: The standby time is to short, The T9 function on this one is nothing for Nokia to be proud of, they shouldn't be proud of this phone at all, the headset is feels like something you bought on a Indian market for $2. THIS PHONE IS A DISASTER, IF YOU GET IT YOU WILL NOTICE AFTER SOME TIME! BUY ANOTHER PHONE! THIS IS A WARNING!

For ice , your memory card will show up on your computer as a removable disk , you can move your music and themes , photo,s to it , place your card back into your phone and then go to your memory card , you can then use you theme, photo,s . as for the music , you go to your music player and do a search , it will find the music on the memory card. hope that helps you .
