wow this phone is freaking cool and good......i got this phone about 2 years already...then this phone is perfectly good to be shown off to....you can forget to bring ur mirror as this phone's screen can reflect things.then its camera does look like its more then 2mp...even im a rich man's 14 years old son...i still prefer this phone.Nokia Rocks

Donot buy nokia 6288. I bought the phone in april 2007 and now it is not working. I had to take it to nokia care center for 3 times and the price of repairs is half over the phone price

I had Nokia 6288 because is no good...The mobile have many problem...the batery life is rather poor...I'm very disappointed.......
Now I have a nokia 3120 classic..The mobile it's very good..also don't any problem..

I had this mobile phone for one year...I dropped it down one time and then it was broken down.
I was very disappointed.
Now I have a Sony Ericsson - much better than Nokia.

this phone is no good. when i bought it , it was still ok till the 6th month mark then i have to bring it for service every 3 months its like taking a treatment...now the screen keeps on going blank and also the battery life is worst,u call for 2 mins and the whole phone is dead...this phone is lousy dun buy it...

Hi, I found this website after I was looking for a mobile I am upgrading to (Nokia 6600) I have had the Nokia 6288 for over a year now, the only problem I have with the mobile is the battery life is rather poor!
I have a 2GB Mini SD card which I have used 1.6GB, one complaint I do have with this mobile is after a while of watching movies or video clips from the memory card the lip sync goes out very badly! However I have found that if you turn the mobile off then turn it on again the videos will however be fine again!
I have been reading through some of these opinions and I am very shocked to see so many people complaining about this handset. The only reason I am upgrading to a new handset is because I got a phone call this morning to do so and it isn't costing me! I love the Nokia 6288 and fully recommend to anyone, it's a very good mobile and I take lots of care with my phone, I shall even miss my Nokia 6288 when I get my new phone as I am very impressed with it, perhaps other peoples problems are isolated.
But like I say I have had the Nokia 6288 for over a year now and the only things I can complain about is the battery life is very bad and the screen backlight doesn't stay on for as long as I would like it to. Other than that it's a great mobile, not the best but is a very very good phone!

This phone cannot handle a battering. If you drop it you will most likely to cause major damage to the internal parts. Everytime I slide the phone it goes blank. The battery dies out quick as well. All in all it is a good phone apart from the things that I have mentioned.

I do regret buying this phone. It was all good until it reached about the 6 month mark and there have been problems since. Firstly, the phone kept turning off randomly and said the battery was flat even though it wasnt. Although since it was under warrantly i got it fixed for free. Now it has problems sending messages sometimes, and cannot send or recieve mms at all. I have talk to phone techs and it is a problem with the handset not my sim card or settings.

I own a nokia 6288 and have no problems with it!!!!!! Nokia is the best and very uncomplicated

i was planning to buy 2 gig "micro SD card" and use an adapter to mini SD card. My question is, can 6288 handle a 2 gig card? By the way, im a heavy user when handling a 2 gig mem card. 1 gig for music ang 1 gig for videos.. Making most of it . ^^

I cant hear any audio when I take or make a call. I noticed that the Headset icon shows on the screen all the time eventhough the headset is not attached. It works with the headset attached or if you switch to the loudspeaker.
Can some one pls help me fix this?

went from samsung to this 6288,and 6 months later went back to another samsung.i got the nokia because i wanted to be able to change the faceplates,when samsung cannot.this was more trouble than expected the screen parts would come loose,parts would bend (i was very careful too).overall,not happy with the 6288.felt like a downgrade

I brought one of these on a contract 2 years ago, had 2 ELFs and the third had to be sent away for repairs 3 times in 6 month. i ended up selling it for cheap on a forum and invested in the N series!

This is my dream phone, very appreciated with the photo quarity, and video can clear in my p.c. in a very low price, only defect is only the screen can not charge cover, have to charge all cost about RM 100.00 over.

Booho your bluetooth not accepting other phone devices, is the first sign of it not going to work in the future. I did experience the some problem and now my bluetooth is not working at all.
