I do not think so.my cousin have use for two months and it is still ok and now the handphone is used by her father while she use her sony ericsson phone.

aaaaaaaaah,it is a disaster,dont buy it at all,I thought that nokia phones are excellent but now this model is one of the worst phone of all,each year it has a hardware problem,it is 1 and half year that i have this phone and I expent 100 dollar for it now i want to drop it OUT!!!!!!!!!
Nokiaaa i wont buy anything frommm uuuu!!!!!

had mine 12 months,no probs at all,signal always seems stronger on outdoor setting,spec not bad for cheapo fone,camera excellent,flash a bonus

Nokia 6288 is one of the worst phones. EVER.
5 of my friends had this phone, 5 of them switched it after 6 months due to technical and hardware issues.
it seems that this phone did not pass any quality check AT ALL. the phone suffers from HUNDREDS of technical issues, including serious hardware problems like phone shutting down randomally, alarm clock not working, phone shutting during a phonetalk, screen goes black and never turns on anymore.
one of my friends had to return this phone 6 [!!!!] times to repair, each time on another issue [sound not working, screen dying, memory gets rapidly wiped].
horrible, horrible phone.
stay away like fire from this one.

used it for 3mos. and broke down. problem: flex & user interface had to be replaced. 3months! i'll shift to motorolla next time i'll get another cellpone. their's are more durable than nokias', no offense

I have had this phone since December 2007. It has been back to '3' for repair twice, and returns with the same problem. The phone turns off randomly (beeps to warn of low battery, even after full charge) and I can never seem to get a full signal, which sometimes drops out while sending SMS messages or calls. Slide action seems flimsy and the phone feels cheap, compaired to my previous Motorola. On the plus side the software is easy to navigate and the keypad has a responsive feel. Would probably think twice before buying another Nokia handset. If anybody has any similar problems it would be interesting to hear.

jana, 09 Jul 2008my nokia 6288 phone is still at the phone repair shop..i ha... morethe technician told me tha the damage was the flash ic and the flex, because it do not power anymore

i presume all nokia phones pass quality check. if ever you encounter problems with your phones, just bring them to nokia service centers, if you have the warranty, any complaint will be entertained at no addtl cost. there are factors that may have contributed to the damages that have been posted here, either the handling from the retailer to the consumer or the consumer's handling. the features specified by nokia for this phone are functional and couldn't have been posted by the company for consumers to use against them, customer satisfaction is basically the aim of every company and nokia may not have gone this far if it were not true to its commitment. choose a phone that's right for you. i've been a nokia user since SMS came into existence and i have never noticed any problem with all the units i ever had with Nokia. For every fone problem, there is always a service center to answer to that.

my husband and i have this phone about 1 and a half years ago; his is black, mine is white. so far, this is the best fone we've had. all the features are in this one: 2megapix camera, videocall, 3G, bluetooth, infrared, FM stereo... anything you want from a handy fone at a reasonable cost..no problems ever encountered. i do not know what will happen if the phone is dropped or gets wet, but i think any phone for that matter would break down. there is a fone that fits for each persons lifestyle. this absolutely fits ours.

sphinx, 08 Jul 2008i'll just ask any1 to help me in my 6288 fon, it does not p... moremy nokia 6288 phone is still at the phone repair shop..i have found an lcd at a lesser price..but most people are advising me to buy another phone. the phones features are great, i have no problem with that..i think the problems are the parts of the phone especially the lcd... try to google problems with nokia 6288 and the most common result are lcd problems and lcd went dead or black..

dis-appointed too, 27 Jun 2008i used dis fone for a bt 1 yr and i can say that its featur... moredid you scan your memory? i think thers a virus in your celphone. try to consult it to the technician,
