I have one for almost a year, wonderful phone. I recomend the black colour even though i have the white, as the black fits the overall finish colour. very elegant phoneif maintained well enough, BIG screen but doesnt have S60 onboard :(
people might get confused with the older brother, the 6280. between the two i think this is the best in thrms of finish.
check with the memory card speeds cause i bought a 1gig VTHREE card and saving picture speeds are extremely slow. Go for SanDisk if you can.
sound cant compete with some likes, avoid excessive editing of the equilizer cause you might break the speakers.
Problem with mine: my phone began showing signs of dirt(or maybe rust) in the rails of the slide(probably because of the black plastic finish). other phones ive checked dont have this problem, but take care of those slide rails ;)

What's the difference with a 6288 with a number 3 logo on it's case with a 6288 without that? Please do reply. xD

how is the speaker's quality of this phone if compare with other phone? sound is clear and nice and more louder than if compare with SE k750i?

yea .sis formats are only for symbian series 60 not series 40. This phone has series 40. So too bad cant install applications

Phone is very nice and stylish. Screen is awesome, sound is cool, camera is fair, battery lives long.
Unfortunately I encountered a bunch of very annoying software problems, mostly with the contact list:
1. Synchronization is horrible, it doesn't work as you expect and you will be surprised that there will be a lot of missing or scrambled data. Synchronization is terrible headache and always there is incredible mess after that (I think it is valid for all Nokia products).
2. Sync again. Sometimes when I update my PC from the phone at certain point the phone crashes and everything fails. I suppose the reason is that some contact gets corrupted - maybe the thumbnail or some data entered. I tried to delete severeal contacts and it worked. This is really bothering.
3. It is impossible to edit some (could be any) contacts (I could not figure out which ones exactly). When try to change the number or some detail you recieve alert "Operation failed" and that's it. The only chance is to delete the entire contact and enter it from scratch.
4. For some reason it is not possible to add some contacts to group (I could not understand what's the reason and why these just contacts).

Well unfortunately u are not able to install games on this phone because this is not a symbian operated phone, u can only play java games something like that....
But this is good, my cousin have this phone i & found it nice and so appealing!!!
a must have piece of machine.....

Hi guys
I was wandering if anyone knows anything about installing TomTom onto 6288? I have a friend who says that this phone has a S60 or SYMBIAN (no idea what his was on about) but anyway, i have tyried and found a TomTom application and it worked 100% to install onto my computer and it even tells you how to install it onto your phone. Tried it and it said that it does not surport SIS. format?????
ANY IDEAS???

Hey JP! Y download realplayer when u can download the program 4 ur pc "video convert master" it converts any video file into any other format. Use the 3gp option and set the audio codec to AAC. The program converts the file into the same quality as the original file. I'm using it 4 my 6288 and it works like a bomb
