yes, 512MB is the standard package.. got mine from Glorietta and it came with 512MB.. i suggest for you to buy from a reputable store and not from "tyangge".. sometimes sellers replace the original parts and accessories with fake or imitations..

and one more thing..de battery..
dis is one of the few phones that come with a 1100mAh battery...dat means it can last longer than any other phone of this category/type..
of course...it all comes down to wat u use de phone for & how long u use it ???
hours on music & games will obviously drain de battery real fast..whereas jus msgin & attendin few calls will givve it atleast 3-4 days...which is pretty gud for a 3g/edge/2mp/262k(320X240) display phone !!

and for those havin software problems...
1.no phone is perfect !
2. don't install unknown or potentially harmful java files
3. don't unnecessarily update de phone's software(firmware)..leave it on version 5.92(if dats de original ver) !

1. atgalleryp.com ..jus rename those .zip files to .jar and then install them to urphone via de app installer in de pc suite..
2. u bought this phone knowin its fragile to an extent ..SO TAKE CARE OF IT PROPERLY !! AND DON BLAME THE PHONE !! ITS UR ROUGH USAGE NOT DE PHONE'S FAULT !
it can last for a long time as long as u take gud care of it..

who ever go to GALLERY9.COM to download games???
i have big probs with that website.when i download game,there always in zip file,but when i explore the zip file,no .jar file i found...what should i do???

I have had this phone for 3 monthes now and are sad to report that the build quality seem to be poor. Batt life is limited to 3 days at most. Should rather go for the E 65. or 6300. sorry

Well its been half a year now and this Phone seems to get worse by the day seems to me nokia are building very fragile phones with as this is the third one that optus has replaced me with not to mention the people who service these phones seem to forget to put things back on it the newest one i have recieved is missing the lens cover and the slider is now basically sliding off the nokia logo on the back on this phone out of ten i would give it a 2 and people who are concidering purchasing this phone DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES your better off with out it !

to avoid troubles in ur phone, please be careful. dont put all the programs u like and all enhancers. u have faults too why system got crazy, you put or install anything..
be careful, be choosy in putting programs!

According to the specs, 6288 includes a 512 Mb card. Is this a standard package?...i mean globally, even here in the Philipines?

now that i see everyone's opinion...
all i cn say is that we should just take good care of the phone..
it depends on the person on how they take good care of the 6288...
for me..this phone is cOOL..and im hoping to buy it really soon..

I had my nokia 6288 a few months ago,i find it okay. No problem with it so far, i even dropped it real hard nonetheless,it is functioning very well. Regarding the back cover, it is not hard to open probably you just have to learn how to do it,when opening it you have to place your thumb at the tip of the phone and push it upwards.Additionally,you can have slings down the left side of it.

What's all the fuss about then?! This phone has been fantastic. My other half got this phone on an upgrade for me from 3 and I have had no issues with it.
I have dropped it from a great high and it works likes new. The batt. Life is fantastic as I am always forgetting to charge my mobile phones. Last for about 3-4 days before it reminds me to charge it.

Well i just got this phone and have to say not that impress :( It looks no doubt about it. It just The build quality is bad! Slider is terrible. When ever you slide the phone open and start pressing buttons the navigation buttons, on/off it vibrates alot. build quality is poor compared to e65, and my previous nokia. 6233
